An optimist understands that life can be a bumpy road, but at least it is leading somewhere. They learn from mistakes and failures, and are not afraid to fail again. - Harvey Mackay
Today sees the return of Optimistic October
After my leg felt a bit better, and I made it through 20 minutes indoor fitness, I've been trying not to berate myself for not getting up earlier and joining in the first Saturday of the Month 5k; I'll just try and resolve to get back into it when 2023 arrives.
So, I've picked three things to be optimistic about this month:
1) Watching the Marathon, and that - despite today's strikes - the trains will run fine, and that I won't stress out; it will be good to see some friends again, and the marathon is a good way of getting others together;
2) I'll tell you that one later;
3) After work quiz night later this month; we have five people so far, and are trying to recruit a sixth.
I have family coming round later, so I probably should get on with showering, and doing some tidying up.
My progress on Strava challenges is:
* 1 hour and 7 minutes on Lucky Saint: Rejoice. Refresh. Recover. and dhb Be Brave; and
* 20 minutes for Athletic Greens® '75 in 7' challenge and Climate Ride | Can't Stop Won't Stop!
