Self-Care September: Feels Like It's Me v the World

Sep 01, 2022 17:01

Here is this year's Self-Care September Calendar.

I've spent some of this day trying to practice self-care, but I find it hard at times, mostly when I want to beat myself up for what felt like poor judgement on my part, even the timing of when I go to put the bins out.

I get riled up by the smallest things from other people, and then can't get them out of my head, and think "if only I'd done this instead, or that"; it really feels like it's me v the world at times.

I think I'll have a day at home tomorrow, just try to shut myself away from people.

Sorry to be gloomy, I was attempting to have a nice day, out at a local stately home, learning a few things about the place and its animals; I didn't realise that pigs had such good memories. I'm not sure I'm typing this in the right frame of mind.

On Strava, I've started two challenges:
* I've managed to walk 4 of 50 km for the September Walking Distance Challenge; and
* I've recorded 1 hour and 52 minutes of 15 hours for the Double Down for Macmillan Cancer Support challenge.
