Joyful June: Luvvly Jubbly

Jun 05, 2022 18:03

Happy Platinum Jubilee to HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

Today I am grateful for three good things:
1) Trains running on time;
2) A useful taekwon-do umpires' training course; and
3) Opportunities to chat to people who I'd not seen since the lockdowns.

I spent the afternoon at Mum's house; we had lunch, watched the celebrations on TV, and had some of this nice looking (and tasting) Platinum Jubilee Trifle.

Progress on Strava Challenges:
1) I have climbed 968m of 1,000m for the MAAP Transcend Vert Challenge; it finishes today, but I don't think I'll try an evening walk just to make up that extra 32m that would allow me to complete it, particularly with today's miserable weather;
2) I have recorded 4 hours and 16 minutes of 5 hours for Seize the Day by Wiggle;
3) I have walked 32 of 108 miles for British Red Cross Miles for Refugees;
4) I have recorded 9 hours and 36 minutes of 10 hours for the RunWESTIN Challenge; and
5) I have completed the Le Col Keep The Pace and June Walking Distance challenges.
