Meaningful May: Three Square Metres

May 13, 2022 17:23

I listened to the Renovation Generation podcast this afternoon; this particular episode is from 2016, and took a while to get going. A lot of it was just a Q&A from the podcasters about themselves; I'd recommend listening from about 15 minutes in.

It's all about life in Vietnam, and there was a lot of stuff about art and people's lack of awareness of their own culture. Some of the things said about overcrowding stood out: Three square metres of space per person. It doesn't sound like an easy place to live.

I start a new Strava challenge today: Band of Climbers It's Only a Hill; I have nine days to ascend 1,500m on my walks; it may be beyond me, but I'll try the best.

My first National Trust magazine arrived at my flat today; I'll look forward to reading it.

I was thinking of having a quiet night in tonight, but got enticed by the prospect of after work beers; hopefully I'll be able to get a round in.
