Happier January: Time to Recharge

Jan 20, 2022 17:15

Last night's ghost walk went well; I got a spooky picture of the empty-looking church tower at night, and realised that I could use this for the latest photo_scavenger prompt.

It was a nice evening to go out, although we could have done without a loud group who were celebrating, and were already a bit drunk (and constantly making bathroom trips) Two of the other guys came on the walk too; the three of us headed to the pub afterwards for a quick beer before we headed off home.

I've now completed the Sweaty Betty Strava Challenge, and completed another week for the Joy of Winter and Laird Superfood Challenges.

Work was quiet today, and I was only interrupted by my shopping delivery; for once, there were no missing items. I spent some of the afternoon making notes for my new Release Your Potential coursework questions, mostly on what can cause "conflict" within teams.

I've had a couple of late nights (after 11:30) this week, so tonight I'm going to try and make an extra effort to go to bed by eleven, and get a decent night's sleep.

Someone from the ramblers group messaged me today to say that she has Coronavirus; I was on the walk with her on Sunday, and so far have passed my lateral flow tests, but I will keep taking them and hope for the best.

It seems that I will be going back into the office really soon, with Boris' latest announcement of the impending end to "Plan B" measures; I'll be glad to get back to a few days a week working away from home.
