New Ways November: Success is Failure Gone Wrong

Nov 22, 2021 17:21

Mum helped me with my food shopping today; I was hoping to buy her something to show my gratitude, but we couldn't find anything that she wanted - she was looking for Christmas tree chocolates, and they had no good ones.

I did an online webinar involving Elliot Masie, who apparently is a "learning expert".

No, I'd not heard of him either, but he was quite interesting to listen to - he came out with the novel idea that "success is failure gone wrong" while explaining how learning from your mistakes is vital.

There were some interesting questions that he didn't get around to answering; one person questioned whether the number of "bite size" learning sessions is because of people nowadays having a short attention span. It got me thinking - I would say either that, or the fact that so many people seem to be super-busy, and probably couldn't give up more hours in their own day.

I have a few hours to relax now before going to taekwon-do; I'd better get on with the ironing - maybe I'll learn my new pattern tonight.
