This month is New Ways November, so I've been thinking about new things I might like to try this month - sort of like a bucket list really.
It makes me realise that I lack imagination, or think of something and realise that it might require a bit more effort than I'm willing to give.
I did think of a few things that I will aim to do:
1) Stand for a position on the Stags' committee - I've got my fingers crossed that it won't result in a humiliating scene where nobody votes for me.
2) I've read about some of the special days that are on in November - the 9th is Inventors Day, so maybe I should learn more about inventors and their inventions.
3) As usual, I want to do some new recipes - northern turmeric daal and chicken & chickpea curry are two of them; I think there are a couple more I have lined up, and have all the ingredients in my store cupboard/fridge.
4) I should aim to be more self-reflective about my own work; usually my own busyness stops me from doing this, but if I think more about how I could have improved a task, it could help me a lot.
5) There are a few things I'd like to do at some point after work; axe throwing is one (as discussed with the guys - there's a new venue in London).
6) I've signed up for a few Linkedin webinars, which could be useful - though webinars are nothing new for me.
7) As one final thing, and this is similar to things I've done in the past, I'm going to do the "One Mile Challenge" this month, which just involves doing at least one miles' worth of activity each day, which may be challenging some days this month, but will at least get me outdoors. I managed to have a walk of over a mile this morning, and I saw some remnants from Halloween (I was looking for scarecrows, but saw none).
Today, I started three Strava challenges:
1) I've walked 3 of 50km for the November Walking Challenge, and
2) I've recorded 36 minutes of activity towards the ROKA 25th Hour Challenge (requires 4 hours) and the November 30-Hour Challenge, which as the name suggests requires more activity.
