The Friday Five: Rising Temperatures

1) What's your favorite dish to bring to a summer cookout?

If that's like a BBQ, then I usually bring burgers for for host(s) to cook; sometimes the burgers have been left uncooked. Personally, I think they are a nice simple meal to do on the grill quickly.

2) How much time have you spent outdoors this week?

I think I've averaged about 2-3 hours each day, trying to get out for walks while I can, and walking to taekwon-do; then there was last night's ramble. Of course, with the Euros on, I've been occasionally avoiding outside so I can watch the football.

3) Where do you set your thermostat?

Ummm - I don't.

4) How did you learn to swim?

I took swimming lessons when I was a kid; it took a little while, particularly after I got kicked out of one swimming class - I think I was mucking around a bit, and trying to avoid getting the plaster I was wearing wet, and then the teacher told me to leave. My parents had to find me another swimming school to go to.

My Dad also helped me learn to swim; I think I might have learned more from him.

5) How do you avoid overheating?

Opening my windows, and using a fan while I'm working usually helps.
