Avengers and updates

Friday night we saw The Avengers. Awesome, just awesome. There was action, humor, and the typical I-should-know-this-is-Joss-Whedon reaction of 'Oh no you didn't?' I LOVED the post-credit scene. Some people were not impressed with that scene and were hoping for more, but Hubby, the kids, and myself were laughing all the way through it. In fact, I think we were the only ones laughing. We went early enough were there wasn't a huge crowd but there were a few crying babies who decided to wake up and cry during the best parts. An usher had to come in and ask one of the parents to please take the baby outside.

Now, being a mother I'll say this, I NEVER took the kids when they were babies to the movies. Hubby and I always got a babysitter for them, mostly the babysitter was grandma. The only time we took the kids to the movies was when they were older and it was a Disney film. If parents can't get a babysitter, at least do the common sense and polite thing and take the baby outside to calm them down. Crying babies and cellphones ringing are very annoying and distracting.

We will be seeing this again because there were parts we couldn't hear because of people laughing, like that one part with Hulk and Thor.

Hubby is still looking for a job and has a little under 60 days at his present job. I may have someone who is willing to take me in as an intern and mentor me. The woman has her own transcribing company and she's local.

Chris is studying again for his ASVAB (the military test) and he's thinking about going into the Air Force Reserves. He still gets most of the benefits and that includes paid college.

Mini-Me has her EOC in biology this week. EOC is the End of Course version of the FCAT. Normally this is a 10th grade test but since she's enrolled in the course she takes it this year. She has her Algebra EOC next week.

EDIT: Thank you OKC for knocking the Mavs out of the playoffs. I love seeing that arrogant Mark Cuban lose.

sports, movie, oh please no, kids, jobs, school
