Confused...
I'm not sure how to start this post, so I'm going to backtrack a few weeks before getting to the point where I'm confused. Here goes.
About a month ago, I met this guy- Will- and we started spending time together and emailing like crazy during working hours. A lot of getting-to-know-you stuff that turned into dating. He was always less willing to share personal stuff, begging off with, "My life is complicated. You'll see." Ok fine, I accepted that (for the time being). Most things come out in the wash, right?
A week and a half or so pass- just emails, plans falling through, and the like. So I emailed him on Monday asking for some clarity- whether he has lost interest, has been overwhelmed by work, whatever. I can handle whatever it is, but I would like to know WHAT it is that's come between us.
I believe the old saying is, "Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it." He replied to my email, "I became a father last night. I guess I've been busy. I told you my life is complicated."
Will gets points for being consistent. He does NOT get points for not telling me that a baby was on the way or he was in the adoption process or however in god's name he became a father last night. I'm still completely baffled as to how this slipped his mind or why he did not feel the need to tell me!
