Why will chrome no longer let me type a url into the address/search bar? What's the point of insisting on a google search for: "http://www.thelacemuseum.org"?

I'm about ready to switch back to Firefox. Again.

Chrome does not like my computer. ( All the ways in which chrome does not like me ... )
