[ AUDIO ]

[There's the crackling of audio, fuzzy noise, and the Guide turns on to something that's supposed to be a conversation between a few individuals. There's very little context for the back-and-forth that's being broadcasted now:]

...And it's been six months! Six months! Can you believe it?

I see. And he hasn't made the offer of living together as of yet?

No! That's what I mean, back in my world...

[The conversation is happening between Basch and an alien, presumably, and though Basch is supposed to be selling 'match.com' for matchmaking services, all he's wound up doing is listening to this alien's relationship woes. How does Basch know how to give matchmaking advice? How does he know how to sell things? Clearly, he isn't doing a good job at either.]

[Clearly not, as the good Captain and his conversation are both currently being interrupted.]

Captain, you can't simply let them continue to cry on your shoulder, though your listening skills are admirable--I'd say you were confused if I didn't know better--you have to help pick the poor sap up again.

[There's a soft 'right', as Basch considers the advice that Balthier just gave him, before he's interrupted by his alien 'customer'.]

Wait, are you trying to sell me something? Is this a matchmaking service? You're not here to listen to me, are you?

[And before Basch or Balthier can get another word in, the alien hangs up with an affronted 'hmph'. There's silence for a moment, and then Basch goes:]

...Perhaps you should lead the next conversation, Balthier.

[And the audio cuts off.]
