I got one for the first time, but I only put it in the ground two weeks ago. I don't recall if there are any blossoms, but I don't think we have the weather to set fruit anyway.

I had one two years ago and it was a bit slow. Later in the summer it had a variety of huge, multicolored yellow and pink and delicious tomatoes, and then small orange ones on the same plant... which were also tasty. :) (Mental note, try to find some more next year.)

I don't have an answer to your tomato questions, but I just have to tell you that I say Bueller? too at the end of questions when I'm teaching. None of my students get it because they are ususally 18-20 years old and lame as well.

i just hope they never decide to "reboot" Ferris Bueller with a crappy remake...

I had an awful experience with Mr. Stripey last year!

It had exactly one flower on it, around this time last year, which slowly slowly slowly developed into a tomato. I didn't see any other flowers until the beginning of September (read: the end of our growing season). Frost killed it before they had a chance.

And I keep thinking that I might've done something wrong, but all of my other tomatoes were fine and prolific, so ... I don't know.

The one tomato was big and pretty, though.

hmmmm...what Zone are you in?

i was just out there now (getting eaten alive by skeeters) and there seems to be a couple of flowers forming.

actually, under closer inspection, all of my plants are a little light on the flowers right now no matter what they are...i wonder if it has just been TOO WET this year. last year was too cool...sigh.

ours was equally poor, but i don't know if it's the plant's fault. last year sucked in general for food production.
