so i bought four of these plants this year. never grew em before. i usually stick with Brandywines and Romas for sauce and maybe a little salsa. i thought these were really interesting looking and might make a nice contrast to the Cherokee Purple experimental plant i also picked up. just one of those though as they didnt sel them in four-packs.
ANYHoo, all of my OTHER tomato plants have flowers on them. NOT Mr Stripey. not a one. are these particular tomato plants slow to flower? slow to produce? it is frustrating the first time i grow a particular variety of ANYTHING as i like to know WHAT IS GOING ON at ALL times. yeah im pne of those people who LOVES spoilers for movies too...
so if ayone has grown these bad boys before i could use a little sage advice. i water when needed, BUT it has been SO WET and rainy here in Zone 5a/b i havent needed to. sometimes if it DOES get dry i will give a little soaking with a pinch of Miracle-Gro (my Dad has always SWORN by it and so far, it has worked for me too. judge if you must). the plant description stick that came with the Stripeys said water well. i think Mother Nature has THAT part covered for now...
