Help please on pruning magnolia trees
Hello I live in South England and my friend wants me to prune a deciduous magnolia that is overhanging her garden. It said in my book to do it early spring but the tree was in bud so it seemed a shame to do it then. Would I harm the tree if I did it now? She wants six or seven branches trimmed -the thickest one has a circumference of 12 cms.
