Since the move to VisArts new building I've gotten to know my coworkers quite well. We moved into a space known as an "incubator" while they finish constructing the real VisArts building. Penguins make excellent mascots. Just look at Linux. Even if you don't understand what that OS is, you still look at their little penguin and declare its cuteness. From movies to mascots, penguins can represent just about anything. So why can't they also represent a new online community similar to craigslist, but not nearly as creepy.
