Finished my last chemo! *stumbly happy dance!* There was a portion there where I felt really sick and did end up running to the bathroom, getting ready to purge, but it was a false alarm. Thankfully. I'm not a fan of throwing up at the best of times, let alone in a public place.
The removal of the PICC line was not nearly as much of an ordeal as I was expecting. The nurse just pulled on it, hand over hand, for a few seconds and out it came. Then we had to keep pressure on it for 10 minutes. My plans of running home and having a shower were foiled by the fact that I need to keep the bandage on for 24 hours in order to let it close up. I was actually kind of expecting that, as it was similar to when I got the bone marrow biopsy done (just a whole lot less painful).
True to his word,
jdkusanagi got me another Mighty Mugg, but this one's better than all the others 'cause he took a blank white one and painted up like Raiden from MGS4!! It looks super awesome. I'll take photos of it soon-ish.
Soon-ish, because as of tomorrow morning, I'm jetting off to Victoria, B.C.! My Grandparents have relocated to their winter condo out there and mom's been wanting to go out there for a while and just have a break from work. She figured it'd be good for me too, change of scenery, warmer weather, good family, etc. I don't know how much I'll enjoy it, being that I'm probably going to be snorfled into the couch for the majority of the trip (though I'm determined to go to that fairy store mom keeps telling me about), I'll try though. It's really important to mom, she's been talking about it almost non-stop since she booked the flight. And we'll have the chance to celebrate her birthday out there too, which will be awesome.
So yay. ^^ I just don't really feel like being on a plane the first day after chemo. But whatever. It's for my mom whose done SO much for me over the years, and especially now.
We'll be back on the 20th (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen BD/DVD release day!!). I'll see if I can locate an internet café or jack someone's wireless in the building with my PSP and update periodically. If not, I'll be pretty quiet for a week (I seriously hope my Grandparents get the CW... Supernatural!).
And yez. I think I need to pass out now. Hopefully I can get Supernatural and Criminal minds transferred to my PSP and iPod in time. O_o
