Dear Ben Cross (Letter 40)

Dear Ben,

Hope you're having a great evening.  From what I hear you're having a great time with your wife/gf (?)  I'm glad for you.

Today was a flustercuck at work.  I don't know where my brain was at work but I sure fubarred a drawing or two.   Oh well, not a lot is going on so I have time to fix it.  My old backpack was ruined by the milk for my breakfast emptying out of its container into the bag.  The bag itself was wrecked anyway and basically the milk spill was the death knell for it.  The incident was a herald for the day to come but surprisingly it wasn't a terrible day in as far as I feel about it.

Went to put some money in to my bank account so that a payment could come out.  Much to my chagrin the withdrawal came early and bounced the account.  I called the company as the payment wasn't supposed to come out until the 25th.  Evidently their system screwed up every transaction for the 25th.  They claim they will credit my account for the $45 it will cost in my overdrawn fees.  They'd better.  I'll be looking for it in the next few days.

I went to softball this evening.  We got our butts handed to us.  And some of the ladies were a tad bitchy so it made it stressful.  For me it's just a game so I don't care if we win or lose.  Some people are getting their knickers in a knot though.  *shrug*  I'm feeling super tired today and it made me a bit grumpy.  Fortunately we all went to the pub, which was graciously paid for by the company.  We were all over the grumpiness by the end of the night.

One thing about going out when I have to drive is that I don't have anything to drink.  I don't really want to have a drink and then drive home...even just once.  Better safe than sorry I say. It's frustrating though and I really would like to go to the pub and have a beer not a virgin smoothie.

Yesterday was a good day.  After work was a bit of a disappointment as my dinner companion cancelled as he was sick and then my singing lesson got cancelled for the same reason.  Oh well.  I did manage to get to the store to get a free box of Fibre 1.  Ok, work with me here.  It's the little things.

I also baked yesterday.  I made Blue Cheese and Pear muffins.  I made them in the mini cupcake tins so that I could take small amounts.  I have some in the freezer for later.  I'm always rather conservative with the blue cheese.  It's very strong and I can only take it in doses.  I don't think that I put enough in though...the pears were nice in it so it's ok.

Anyway, just a blurb today.  Someday you will have to write me back and we will have a real chat.

Gail
