Hey everybody! I'm having a fairly kickass weekend. I did turn into a total lamer, wigged out about the weather on Friday and called off work so I only went to work for one day this past week. I hope I'm not in trouble. Apparently the roads ended up being fine and it never really did get as awful as expected. Although my neighborhood was a pain in the ass, and to get anywhere, I have to get out of there first. Also, I stressed myself out so much that I gave myself an all day headache in the process. Oh well. I've decided I'm going to quit that place this year anyway, so I might as well use all of my personal time. I lost 3 days worth this past year.
Since Saturday actually turned out really nice, so I went over to Dan's as we had planned for Friday, but I was headachy and cranky so that was held off for a day, and I'm still there now. It may be really cold, but the sun is fantastic. We took a walk down to the post office so he could drop something off and then stopped at this new chocolate and pastry shop that used to be an ice cream place. It's called House of Bittersweet. I would recommend it to people. We each bought ourselves a few truffles and have judged that they're pretty awesome. Also, they were playing a Sweeney Todd song. Bonus points! Today we're going to Raj Mahal for Indian food-yep, Indian buffet twice in one week! Woo hoo!
Oh yeah. Dan and I also got engaged yesterday. Yep, I finally said yes! My first response to opening the box was "Is this for real?" Honestly, knowing Dan I was expecting him to give me an empty box while he was sitting on the toilet, because he can be weird like that! The original plan was to cook me dinner on Friday night and then ask me. But he asked me Saturday afternoon and then made dinner together. He bought ice cream for dessert, but we were both too full to eat it and the ice cream was supposed to be part of it-Ben and Jerry's "Chubby Hubby". Dan thought that was hilarious. I think we're planning on getting married next summer, but we haven't set anything for sure yet.
