Luke, Reid, and the mechanical bull
preview for tomorrow = Yippee ki-yay, motherf*cker!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. ATWT does Die Hard. On a mechanical bull. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
(Hey, I could have said Reid does Luke on a mechanical bull, but I'm trying to keep it family-friendly here! AHAHAHAHA.)
Ahem. I'm composed now. But damn if tomorrow's episode does not make me giggle! I can't wait. Reid's facial expressions in the all the previews have been priceless. He's like Dorothy when she first gets to Munchkinland. :-P "Toto, I don't think we're in Dallas anymore." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Okay. Gotta save some stuff for tomorrow's recap. On to today's! :-D
Let's begin with Henry, Vienna, and Katie. And poor Barbara.
So Katie has appointed herself head wedding planner for Henry and Vienna. She and Henry share a laugh and a hug at the Lakeview while discussing wedding things. Vienna spies them together and immediately gets a weird feeling about them. Katie leaves and Vienna sits with Henry and they, too, talk about the future. While they're talking, Vienna is perusing through an "I Do" magazine, and she finds the perfect dress for herself. You know...The One. The dress she can't live without. And of course...this dress happens to be a B.R.O. "Barbara Ryan Original." Oh, who didn't see this coming?!
However, Vienna wants the dress custom-made with all her specifications and is all excited that Barbara's right in town with them and can do it for her. Henry tells Vienna that he will go to ask Barbara if she'll do the job, but that's not really what he does. He gets to Barbara's, explains the situation (and how awkward it would be), and then proceeds to tell her how much he misses her. And when Barbara confides that Paul is being a douchenozzle to her and doesn't accept her past with Henry, the two of them once again capture my heart when Henry tells her that any man would be lucky enough to have her.
DAMN YOU TWO! JUST FRIGGING BE TOGETHER ALREADY.
Argh. So initially Barbara refuses the job, but when Vienna comes back to her to plead for her to do it, she agrees. And then Vienna drops the bomb that she wants Henry to get her pregnant by the time they walk down the aisle.
Great way to end a show, I gotta say! But poor Barbara.
So earlier Barbara had run into Paul in Old Town and said she wanted to spend time with him and Eliza. He mocked her for "boinking his baby brother" and Barbara got really upset and left. Remember the pic I posted for Craig yesterday? Yeah. It applies to Paul too, today. GRR.
So Emily gets a phone call from the doctor at Deerbrook, who wants to know how Meg's stay at Fairwinds went. Emily is honest and tells him that she was very unhappy with the fact that Meg crawled into Paul's bed to sleep. Emily and Paul then have the most annoying lunch ever, where all they do is argue and snipe at one another. I can see where both of them are coming from, I really can. But seriously, Paul...what wife wouldn't freak out after coming home to see her husband in bed with his ex-wife? I mean, yeah...nothing was going on, but the marriage vows must be honored. Add on top of that the fact that Emily still thinks that Meg's cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, and we have a bad situation.
And it only gets worse. Emma decides she's going to check Meg out of Deerbrook - which, actually, I agree with, and I'm glad to see Meg be home around normal people again (though it's debatable whether or not everyone at the Snyder farm is "normal") - but then the two of them stop by Fairwinds and basically steal Eliza out of the house. Why didn't the nanny call Paul to make sure this was okay with him first? She didn't even try!
So Emily and Paul run over to the farm to give Emma hell, and they do, but Emma also kinda puts them both over her knee. The only reason why she let Paul take Eliza back home with him is because he has legal custody. But from where Emma stands, Eliza should be at the farm with Meg, surrounded by Snyders, who are her family. Paul and Emma are all sorts of rawr hiss! at each other now. With a little bit of temperamental Emily on the side. And Meg was all, "Why are you doing this, Mama?" but Emma just said that she should have done all this in the first place.
Whew. Messy!
Aaaaaand about to get messier? Chris, Ali, and Katie.
So Katie keeps proving to me that her matchmaking skills are leaving much to be desired. Apparently she told Chris and Ali to meet her at WOAK to tape a show, but that was entirely a set-up. They figure this out, Ali grills Chris on whether or not he had something to do with it (which he didn't), and then Chris gets a page from the hospital about a patient coding, and the two of them rush off to save the poor tyke.
Then Chris and Ali are back in the doctors' lounge high-fiving each other over their big save when Chris goes to kiss Ali and she freaks out. Chris admits that a part of him came back to Oakdale because of Ali, but she's not happy to hear it. He wants to pick things back up again, she absolutely does not, and partly because of Casey. Chris doesn't think Casey should have any weight in Ali's decision, but she insists that she doesn't want to start anything with Chris.
So Chris is then seen moping in Old Town when he runs into Katie, and very suavely, he spills his soda on her. He starts mopping her off and there's an accidental boob brush and this scene left me DYING with laughter. Katie starts laughing while Chris apologizes and she says, "That's the most action I've gotten in months!" to which Chris replies, "Me too," and that's where I paused my DVR and almost fell off my couch. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I loved that little scene!
Katie tells Chris she's going to do some "damage control" because he rushed the kiss with Alison, but the two of them share A Moment when Chris puts his jacket on her so she won't get cold. Then when Katie walks away, she turns around at the last minute and the two of them exchange knowing smiles.
Uh-oh. Alison's got some competition, methinks! Though I have to say that I'm still waiting for Simon to come back and sweep Katie off her feet. That would be my choice of ending for Katie. ♥
Okay, now...today I enjoyed! Tomorrow's episode I am sure I will enjoy. This week's episodes are starting to look up! YAY!
:-D
