Make It Right, Henry! - Today's Recap, 3/15/10
First, I would like to say that I FRICKING LOVE DUSTY DONOVAN. Oh yes I do!
So Janet FINALLY says yes to Dusty's proposal, and puts his ring on, and she, Dusty, and Liberty are the three happiest people on the show right now. No joke.
Dusty was so damn cute today. He was so happy when Janet finally accepted his proposal, and he's wonderful and sweet with Liberty (and you can tell that Liberty really likes him, too). I loved how Liberty joked about him joining their family just in time to have a bald step-daughter and a "big, fat pregnant wife". LOL! That was a very cute conversation.
And Janet and Dusty are super cute together, too. Remember way back when, when I was so dead-set against them being an item? :-P Now they're totally adorable. Damn this show for always doing that to me! It always manages to change my mind about things! LOL.
PS - Nu!Liberty today. I liked her a lot. She's a good actress and she didn't make me want to suffocate her with her own pillow. :-P
Carly was really great today, too, as was Parker. I loved their conversation at the hotel in Minneapolis in which Carly joked about finally being a grown-up, and how Parker had had to raise her till now. HAHA. They were so cute together, laughing and joking. Love them.
And holy hell is Mick Hazen TALL! Jeez. I didn't realize how tall he was until I saw him standing next to Maura and Michael today. Damn!
So, I'm guessing Jack is finally starting to accept that Janet's moving on. He seemed like he was having trouble with the idea, which I don't quite understand since he's head over heels for Carly, but today he showed the first signs of acceptance. After he and Dusty butted heads for a good long while, that is. :-) So everybody's moving on, and I say good for them!
Except in Henry's case. Oh, Henry...what are you doing? Please go make this right.
So Vienna's not giving Henry much room to breathe, and he's desperately trying to figure out his relationship with Barbara. Barbara went back to Fashions today to return that smokin' red dress Henry bought her, and she ended up accidentally spilling the beans to Lisa about her affair with Henry. (Well, it's not really an affair. It was a full-blown relationship, since Vienna had peaced out a long time ago.) So then they meet up again in Old Town, and Henry tries to tell her that it's all just a big mess, but Barbara deems their relationship just a "dalliance" and says it was fun while it lasted. But she looked like she was going to cry buckets when she turned and walked away from him. :-(
Oh, Henry. Go get her! Barbara loves you. And I'm starting to think that Henry loves her, too. I really want the two of them to work out. They're so cute together and they're always so happy and fun. They should be together.
Of course, I don't know where this leaves Vienna. Henry's looking like he's leaning towards Barbara, so I don't know what Vienna's gonna do when she finds out his true feelings. I do want to point out, yet again, how Vienna always makes such a huge deal about Henry giving the money up to be a better man, and how Barbara already thinks Henry is a better man, money or not. It's very interesting how these two women can see one man so differently. I guess that's the mystery of attraction, huh?
I hope this doesn't drag out for much longer. I don't want Barbara to be hurt and I don't want Henry to be stuck with Vienna if he doesn't want to be. Neither of those situations would be good or particularly fun to watch. :-/ Guess we'll see what happens!
Aaaaaaand previews! Are you ready for tomorrow's ep? Take a deep breath, 'cause I think it's gonna hurt. As far as the boys are concerned, that is. :-(
Y'know, I have to say...I'm actually looking forward to this next storyline with the boys. I know, it sounds weird, and I'm confused about it myself, but I think the main reason I'm looking forward to it is because it has so much potential to be good, it really does. If the writers handle it with intelligence and grace (is that wishful thinking?), it could be really entertaining, and could really reach for our heartstrings.
I dunno. I have to wait and see. One thing I know is that Van and Jake are gonna be awesome no matter what they do. So there's always a little bit of silver lining. :-)
Anyway. More as it develops! :-P And boo on the show being pre-empted this Thursday and Friday. I want more show, not less! :-P
