Revelations, Lies, and Cover-Ups - Today's Recap, 3/12/10

Mar 12, 2010 15:35

Okay, for real? Reid needs to decide if he likes Luke or if he hates Luke. One second he's got a case of Teh Warm Fuzzies with him, and the next second he's all rawr! at him. Pick one, doc!

That being said, I totally enjoyed their scenes today, because they were so funny. Oh, God. That scene when Reid told Luke he was gay was hysterical, especially with Reid's reference to the "secret handshake". HAHAHAHA. And, of course, as I'm sure we've all guessed he would be, Reid is neither ashamed nor apologetic about who he is.

Also, (I mentioned this in my comments for yesterday's recap), I think that Reid is starting to be attracted to Luke because of Luke himself. With yesterday's episode and today's, Reid has gotten a chance to see the real Luke. The Luke who is somewhat content and happy, level-headed, and compassionate, instead of an emotional wreck all the time. So I'm guessing that that is going to be the appeal for Reid. And maybe...I dunno...maybe Reid has some daddy issues himself. In watching yesterday's clips numerous times, I sorta got the feeling that Reid was sympathetic towards Luke about Damian because of some underlying personal issue. I could be way off base, but if that turns out to be true, I wouldn't be surprised.

But the preview for next week with the boys. Oh, boys. C'mon! Work it out. Luke's all woobie!face with tears and sadness and Noah looks all upset and *pout*. Noah has the same face he had when Luke said they had to split up so Noah could go to the rehab clinic back in November. :-( :-( Their angst strikes pain into my heart!

But this gives me hope. This means that they still love each other, which means that in the end, the love will win out. Love always wins. :-) The boys are so buttcrazy in love with one another even when they're not together, so they have to work it out. They have to. They will. THEY WILL!

Prepare thyself for Monday. I have a feeling it's going to hurt. :-(

Anyway, back to today.

So Katie gives Reid a keychain with mini handcuffs on it to remind him of his time in Oakdale (hehe!), and he gives her his beeper number (which nobody else has, apparently) and tells her she can call him anytime, day or night. I really love the two of them as friends. And Reid even said goodbye to Jacob (he held him and everything!). Amazing.

But now Katie, Vienna, Henry, and somewhat Barbara are all tangled up together in a crazy mess. Vienna thinks Henry's donated the Stenbeck money to Memorial because Katie lied and told her he did so, while Henry's now caught in the middle of being with Barbara and having Vienna thrust back into his life. I'm already not liking what Henry is doing. He and Barbara had plans for a nice night out and as soon as Vienna showed up, he cancelled on Barbara and she was really upset (though she didn't let him know that).

Oh, Henry. Please don't hurt Barbara. She was there for you and wanted to be with you when NO ONE ELSE did. She loves you for who you are and not who she wants you to be. Please don't hurt her; she doesn't deserve it. And for the love of Pete, tell Vienna the truth about the money. She doesn't deserve to be lied to, either.

And at least we know (for now, anyway), that even if Henry donated the money to Memorial, Reid wouldn't stay just because of it. So Katie's plan (for now) didn't really work. I say "for now" because I really have no idea what Reid has in store for us. :-P

Also...that scene with Barbara and Carly at the Lakeview was so great! I'm really starting to love Barbara. Even though she and Carly have been more foe, less friend, she was still looking out for Carly and she was completely honest about her past mistakes. What a fantastic little scene between the two of them! ♥

So now onto Jack/Carly/Dusty/Janet!

The baby is Jack's. Janet is thrilled and has turned down Dusty's proposal (Dear Janet, Where have you parked your brain? Love, G). Jack went back to see Carly after he found out the baby's paternity and they fell into bed together. Dusty went to see Janet at the farm and told her that he loves her, wants to marry her, and he'll still buy the house and take care of all the kids with her. Janet, once again, pushed him away (and this time, returned his ring).

But! The preview for next week has her accepting Dusty's proposal and proudly showing off her ring to Liberty, who's still in her plastic bubble in Minnesota. (LOL, that sounded funny, but you know what I mean. ;-)) I'd be prepared for when Janet tells Liberty about the baby, though, because when Liberty initially heard about the plan of Jack and Janet having a baby for her sake from Parker, she went apeshit on Jack and told him she would refuse the baby's bone marrow. So now Janet has to convince Liberty that the baby isn't just a donor...it's an actual, y'know...person.

And THEN! HAHAHAHAHA. Carly shows up at the farm and basically tells Janet that she's going to take care of her in lieu of Jack. Oh, this should work out well! HAHAHA. Carly's gutsy, ya gotta give it to her! :-P

Today's episode was fun. Not as fun as yesterday's, but still pretty good. If it stays on this level for a while (which, it won't, come Monday *sad face*), I think I'll be okay. Or actually, I dunno if I'll be okay. I gotta see what happens with the boys. And then I'll let you know how I feel! :-P

~G

Happy Friday, everyone! Let's ignore the boys' preview for next week and just focus on yesterday's lovey-dovey sweetness, shall we? Yes. :-)
