"Holy Co-Dependency", Batman! - Today's Recap, 2/24/10

Feb 24, 2010 15:37

First I'd just like to say that today's episode ended with Casey PUSHING MICK IN HIS WHEELCHAIR TOWARDS THE EDGE OF THE HOSPITAL ROOFTOP! Go Casey! YEAH!

Unfortunately, Casey's not going to kill him. But he is going to use Mick as leverage to get the truth of Ali's feelings out of her!

Casey should totally be a cop. He'd be slamming the bad guys into walls and throwing them off rooftops left and right! And he'd be totally hot while doing it! ;-)

Okay, I'll come back to Casey and Ali and that whole mess. :-) I wanna talk about Reid right now.

So, I know a lot of you don't like him/despise him/wish he would die in a fire (my sister Honey included in that group). But dear Lord, I love him to bits. BITS. He brings so much humor to the show and I love love LOVE his chemistry with Katie.

I have to say, though...that I'm kinda eyerolling over Katie's "He doesn't remind me of Brad while everyone else does!" excuse. I know, I know...it's not really an excuse, it's actually the truth. But you would think that after a while, the people who know Katie best would start to bring her comfort. There's comfort in history. Especially with Henry. I don't like the fact that Katie's pushing Henry away in favor of Reid simply because Reid knows bupkis about her. Henry's been through a lot with Katie, and yes, he did cause the whole awful Brad debacle, but he still cares about Katie and he really wanted to try and do something nice for Jacob today.

I understand Katie's reservations about James's money, I do. But poor Henry's feelings were so hurt, and Katie could tell. She needs to stop holding Brad over his head if they're ever going to make true peace with one another.

But back to Reid. OMG him folding baby clothes was the freaking funniest thing. HAHAHAHA. I loved that. And now he and Katie are going to sit on the couch and gossip like girls? YES PLEASE! I wanna know SO BADLY what it is that Reid's hiding in his past that even he thinks is bad. I can't wait to find out what it is!

And Dr. Bob once again owns Reid at the hospital. HAHA. Reid tried to play it off, like, "You know that I know what you're doing, right?" but the end result was still the same: Bob still manipulated Reid into doing what he wanted him to do. LOL! I love it. It's almost like they have this strange father-son relationship. Hehe!

Unfortunately (or not, only time will tell), now Reid's gonna use Luke to get what he wants, since he helped out with the brain scans that supposedly belonged to Damian. Don't know whether that's gonna be a good or bad thing (this was all in the preview for tomorrow), but I have to say that I love Luke to smithereens for thanking Reid for his help and saying, "I owe you one." Oh, Luke. You're such a good person. ♥

Oh, and Katie was totally mothering Reid today. I loved how she told him that he eats like a fifteen-year-old boy going through a growth spurt. ROFL. And the wet towels on the bed thing? Yeah. Yuck!

(Anyone else notice the parallels between Reid's scene with his *ahem* sandwich, and the scene between Luke and Noah from long ago with a sandwich...? Is Reid making up for something that's lacking in his life? 'Cause I sure noticed a lot of...uh...meat on that thing...:-P Nah, he was just hungry, right?...Right?)

Anyway. /Reid fangasm

Back to Casey. LOVED the scene with Dr. Bob on the bench in Old Town today. Oh, Bob. He's such a great grandfather and I love that he wanted to be there to talk with Casey. And Casey was able to be completely honest with him about how he was feeling about everything. And PS - Casey, you're the farthest thing from a loser! Anyone who tells you that should be tossed from a hospital roof! (HAHA! U c wut I did thar?)

And Alison. Oh God. She just can't let go of Mick, can she? She's a lost cause. That girl has drifted off into the deep end, and there's no saving her. Until Mick is out of the picture (Dear ATWT: WHEN IS MICK GOING TO BE OUT OF THE PICTURE?!), Ali's going to be awash in confusion, constantly torn between being noble and having what she wants. PBLBLPBLPBLPBLPBL <--that's me throwing an epic raspberry in her direction.

Oh, and tell me when Mick told Casey to "take his hands off Alison" that you didn't just want to flatten Mick's face with your fist. ARGH! Casey should have just given him a swift kick in the back and sent him flying. Have a nice trip, see ya next fall!!

Now on to Paul and Emily. I gotta say, usually I adore them, but today I did not. I mean, them being together is all still well and good. The problem I had was with how Paul treated Barbara. I guess she's grown on me a lot more, because I found myself getting kinda angry that Paul was being so mean to her. I suppose he has every right, because Barbara did keep the whole "Mick is James" thing from him for a good long while, but...I dunno. I didn't enjoy their interaction. And Emily was just as bad towards her.

But, I suppose that's okay. Paul handed off James's fortune to Henry, and he and Barbara got to share a hysterical scene at the Lakeview, in which they argued and put each other down while slurping copious amounts of expensive champagne which culminated in them tearing their clothes off one another and then complimenting each other on their "talents" in bed. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Such a great scene.

Oh, and the scene with Henry at Metro? When he checked the bill? AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Henry Coleman, I adore you!!

Tomorrow's eppy looks like it's going to have more Holden drama! YAY! More good stuff with Luke, and now Reid gets entwined as well. Bring it! :-D

~G

Oh, and PS - Reid should totally get his cholesterol checked. Especially since he's a doctor and knows more than anyone the importance of knowing your numbers!

PPS - What's with my attachment to Reid today? Holy hell! :-P
