Pet peeve time!
For some inexplicable reason, I really hate it when people address emails, texts, or just general messages to me as "Hey". Like, instead of saying "Hey G" blah blah blah, they just say "Hey" and continue on with their message.
It's like they couldn't even take time out of their day to remember my name. I feel like I'm being addressed rudely, even if the message is really nice. And it doesn't matter who it is, either. If my mom sent me a message that way, I'd still feel like it was rude.
I dunno. I don't quite get it, especially since 99% of the messages I get that start that way are just regular everyday messages from people that I know. Like, one of my close friends just sent me a message like that today (which prompted me to make this post :P), and the rest of the message was fine. It's just the "Hey" beginning that annoys me. She definitely knows my name, dammit! :P
Oh well. Maybe I'm just a weirdo!
