I'm gonna start with Lily and Craig and get them outta the way, because seriously...I felt like I was watching the beginning to a really bad porno. First, it's the whole "one bed, no other options" cliche. Then the power goes out. Then Craig brings back scotch and they start drinking. Then it gets incredibly hot with no A/C in the room. Then Lily starts removing articles of clothing (and she even mentions taking a shower!). THEN Lily starts mopping herself off with ice cubes, and Craig tells her to turn around so he can do her back for her.
Now I see where Faith gets it.
Then Lily's stretched out on the bed and Craig starts giving her a footrub. But THANK THE HEAVENS, NO sexytiems occurred. OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Somebody at ATWT loves us. (Well, when it comes to L/C they love us...not so sure with L/R all the time...) CRISIS AVERTED. For now.
Also, it helped that Lily ticked off all the family members of hers that Craig had already gotten it on with. That seemed to kill the mood pretty quickly. WHEW!
And Craig being afraid of a little mouse in the room? PFFT. Loser. (Are you a man or a mouse? Squeak up! <--Really bad joke from my childhood. :-P)
Now on to the Awkward Foursome: Dusty, Janet, Carly, and Jack.
Unfortunately for all of them, there were NO Sexytiem Challenges on Metro Tables today. There totally should have been. Because instead, what we got was Janet and Dusty talking oh so casually about the cabin Jack's fixing for Janet, with Carly going O_O "WUT?!" Everyone starts snarking at one another (I have a feeling Reid and Carly would get along really well :-P) and Carly eventually peaces out. Jack finds her at her house later, and they argue more about how Jack's still trying to make up for Brad's death by keeping a close eye on Janet, and how he needs to learn to do this without hurting his relationship with Carly. Jack spells his love out to Carly, saying that he only wants to be with her. They kiss, and go for more, but Carly stops it and later tells Jack to leave.
Meanwhile, Janet runs into "Blackie" at Metro, some dude she knew a bajillion years ago who now has thirteen thousand names. "Blackie" says that he's doing business with Lucinda, and Janet's all "WHEE!" about seeing him. However, when she lets it slip that "Blackie" is in cahoots with Lucinda to Dusty later, Dusty flips his shit and says "Blackie" is lying. Janet - of course - doesn't believe Dusty (UM HELLO DUSTY WORKS WITH LUCINDA (though Blackie IS working with her, right? :-P)) and defends "Blackie" like it's her job. Then Janet peaces out of Metro.
DAMMIT YOU TWO. When they're adorable together, I ♥ them. But when Janet immediately jumps to her defenses and doesn't give Dusty ANY sort of benefit of the doubt, THEY REALLY PISS ME OFF. When Carly said that Janet jerked Dusty around, I couldn't help but agree. I say again, Mr. Donovan: Teri is still single!!! Why can't Janet at least HEAR HIM OUT? If Dusty says one thing that she doesn't agree with, everything goes to hell. SORRY JANET, HE'S NOT YOUR CLONE. He's bound to feel differently than you from time to time!
ARGH. *kicks them*
Anyway, now that we've got the others out of the way, let's talk about Bob, and how awesomesauce he was today!
First, he basically says, "Bitch, take your homophobic tendencies elsewhere," to Mona Cross (which loosely translates into: "Memorial is not for sale." :-P), THEN he offers the Chief of Staff position to Reid (more on this later), and then he's all smiley and happy when he tells Kim that Reid's interested in the position! HEE.
And I LOVED Kim's, "You really have lost your mind." LOL! Bob knows what he's doing, of this I am sure. No worries, Kim!
I'm really excited to see how this all plays out. Especially since Kim made it clear today that Chris has already made it clear that he's not interested in the COS position at all. To be honest, I'd rather see Reid just say his usual surgeon self, but I'm glad Bob asked him, and I LOVE their relationship. It's so father/son. Especially today. ♥
Okay, so. I don't even know where to START with Luke and Reid today!
-Being domestic by playing chess, chatting, and Reid giving Luke tips on how to play? OH HELLS YES.
-Reid getting angry by Mona trying to dictate who he can and cannot date? EFF YEAH.
-Luke's adorable smiles and teasing throughout the entire episode? YES PLEASE.
-Luke sticking up for Reid, asking Mona questions flat-out, and then ushering Reid off to the Lakeview lobby? HELLO. THAT TASTES LIKE MORE.
-Luke elbowing Reid, and that ADORABLE conversation where Bob offered Reid his job back and Reid accepted? UM. YEAH. *_*
-Reid asking Luke out on a date/"Hey wanna go have sexytiems back at your place?" I'LL HAVE ONE OF THOSE SCENES TO GO, PLEASE. NO, REALLY.
-Reid's ENTIRE conversation with Bob about the COS position? AGSHDKDLFL:JD ADORABLE! Reid ♥'s Bob and there are no words to describe how effing cute Reid was in that scene!!
-Reid rushing back to Luke to tell him the good news, and then asking if Luke will help him be a better person? ♥_♥ Oh, Reid. Luke's already helped you do that without you even realizing it! And of course Luke's going to keep helping him. ♥_♥
Not to mention other little tidbits of goodness, like the fact that they kept saying "relationship" to each other, and Luke told Reid he needed him (oh, but he does!), all the TOUCHING AFHSJSKLSKHSGDF, and Reid saying he would make an "exception" for Luke. LOL. It's not so much an "exception" as it is that REID IS TOTALLY BUTTCRAZY IN LOVE WITH LUKE. And I think Luke is fast approaching the same feelings. He likes taking care of Reid, you can tell. And Reid likes being taken care of. They both also like that they can snark off at one another, but totally see through it all and understand each other in the process. Not to mention the whole chess thing. So freaking cute!
BUT! What the hell, show. WHY NO KISS? Seriously, screw you, writers/editors/whoever. I don't know why you won't let these two kiss anymore. Have you forgotten how good they are at it? Geez. Stop denying us, or there will be riots with torches and pitchforks!
Also...why did Luke have that worried expression on his face when Reid referenced going back to his house? Okay, did it have the implication of sex? Yes, of course. But did it absolutely mean that they would have sex? No. So why is he worried? Or forget that, why is he worried in the first place? Is it just too soon, or does he feel out of practice, or is it weird because it's Reid? I WANNA KNOW. And then I want Luke to get the hell over it! :-P At this point, any kind of sexytiem that took place between the two of them would be because of their feelings for one another, and nothing else. It wouldn't be because neither one of them have had any lovin' in a while (though that's true for the both of them). So I don't see what the issue is. I think Reid would take care of Luke. And Luke would do the same in return. And they obviously want to be together. So what the problem is?!
*Sigh* Oh, well. Just keeping my fingers crossed for more goodness from now on! I'm happy I got my cute, fun episode today. No drama. LOVE IT. ♥ ♥
And tomorrow's looking like more Janet/Dusty, with Lucinda and Holden on the side. And more CarJack.
