And Gabriel Hates on Parker Like it's His Job - Today's Recap, 7/13/10
First I wanna say that there was no reason why Carly couldn't have gone to New York with Lily. If Jack was able to tag along on Parker's job shoot, then he could have just taken Parker by himself and Carly could have continued with her business trip as usual. Just sayin'. :-P
But speaking of, let's start with Parker. Boy's burning it up in the modeling department, ain't he? He's got people calling him now! :-P Good for him. Parker deserves to do something he's interested in and have fun at it as well. Yay Parker! I'm glad Jack convinced Carly to let him take the job, because it would have been reeeeeeaaaalllly stupid to pass on it.
But Faith...ugh. I think it's a Valentina thing, but...even when Faith is trying to be supportive and friendly and y'know, human, she still comes off as slutty and/or conceited to me. I don't know what it is. I also have to add in the fact that every time she looks at Parker, she's undressing him with her eyes. Now, Naked!Parker doesn't bother me, but Naked!Parker from Faith's POV does. Just...yuck. And I have a feeling this is all going to get worse. Oy. PS - could her shorts have been any shorter today? I had a wedgie just looking at them! :-P
And Liberty, and her wonderful boyfriend/boy toy/whatever the hell he is Gabriel. So basically Gabriel bitched like a drama queen (and not in the lovable way like Luke does) because Liberty was all, "Parker this," and "Parker that" when explaining how Parker basically rules the world. :-) Well, Gabe, all I have to say is: DON'T BE HATIN'. Parker's where it's AT. It would behoove you to align yourself with him and learn a few things about being a decent man. Alas, we know that won't happen, so I'm going to be content with just calling Gabriel a girl and getting on with my day. :-)
And Liberty was all, "Balls! Parker's getting chummy with Faith, I should go kill myself" when she showed up at Parker's shoot. All I can say to her is: WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND, MY DEAR. So now you know what it felt like when Parker had to witness you drooling all over Gabriel every five seconds. WASN'T QUITE SO MUCH FUN, WAS IT?
But Carly and Jack were super cute, and now they're going to go to dinner together. It was funny how Carly asked him if he wanted to go to dinner so they could talk, and he replied yes, but with that look on his face, I'm thinking the last thing on Jack's mind was talking with Carly at dinner. I won't surprised if they're being indecent on the table later. XD
Speaking of being indecent, let's talk about Lily and Craig! So, gosh...what are the odds that the moment the two of them are ready to split and get out of New York, all the airports have suddenly cancelled ALL the flights out of the state?! Man, talk about timing. :-P So now they're stuck in an airport hotel room, and they're flipping a coin for the bed. Except that heads is "Craig gets the bed and Lily has to f*ck off" and tails is "Craig and Lily go at it like bunnies tonight on aforementioned bed". With their luck today, which side to you think the coin is going to land on? :-P
And once again Lily proves that she cannot exist without a man. The SECOND Carly pulls out of the trip, Lily's all "ZOMG CRAIG I NEED YOU TO GO WITH ME 'CAUSE EVEN THOUGH I JUST SAID I CAN HANDLE MY OWN BUSINESS, I FEEL LIKE I CAN'T HANDLE MY OWN BUSINESS! I NEED A MAN'S EXPERTISE!" Um. *headdesk*
And WTF is going on with Lucinda and Francois?! Okay, character assassination on Meg and Vienna was pretty okay with me, because I wasn't ever really invested in either of them that much. And I don't rightly care about Francois, either. But I don't want the show to ruin Lucinda as well!
I know she's known for her *ahem* underhandedness at times, but convincing Francois to "sell" Lily a warehouse for the start of her business when THERE IS NO WAREHOUSE TO BEGIN WITH, and not caring that this is going to devastate Lily's new company and her friendship with Carly is just SO UNCOOL. I get Lucinda's desire to take Craig down. I'm all for it, even...just not at the expense of Lily. That's not fair. What's Lily gonna do when Craig sinks and takes her fragrance line with him? Better yet - what's CARLY going to do? Lily's got the Lakeview and WOAK to fall back on, but Carly's got f*ck all going for her right now. She needs this business.
This is not a good situation. AT ALL.
But Dusty and Johnny and Janet had a good day today, didn't they? XD
I'm SO glad Dusty got to spend time with Johnny, expecially since Craig's being a d-bag to him about his custody over Johnny. I'm really glad Janet was able to finagle Johnny out of his babysitter's grasp for a couple hours so Dusty could have lunch with him and then take the two of them to a movie. SO CUTE. All of it!
And Janet's giving me whiplash. Every other episode she's taking Dusty's head off. But on odd days (or whatever today was - I can't seem to figure out this pattern of hers), she's looking at Dusty like he's the best thing since sliced bread, and she's bending over backwards not only to compliment him, but also make his life a little sunnier. What the hell? PICK ONE! (PS Janet, the verdict is in: Indeed, Dusty IS the best thing since sliced bread! GET ON IT!) I'd be happier for the two of them if Janet felt a little more stable to me. But oh well. They had their cute hands-in-the-bucket-of-popcorn thing and Scared!Johnny-who-holds-both-their-hands-together thing, so it's all good. :-D They're also grabbing dinner together at Metro later. Hey! Maybe CarJack and Dustnet? Jasty? (Err...no good portmanteaus come from those two names...) whatever! can have Sexytiem Challenges on Metro tables. LOL. Who needs dinner, anyway. Ya gotta work up an appetite, am I right?

I'll save the squeal for later to spare those of you who aren't a fan of Reid, but I gotta say, I'm really hoping this ep is just a cute, fun one. I think Luke and Reid need a little more fun in their life. :-D Let's do drama later. Tomorrow, let's just have happytiems and smiles and WHEE!
