The Apple Doesn't Fall Too Far from the Tree - Today's Recap, 7/7/10
Not to start this entry out on a negative note, but...I AM SO DONE WITH THE WHOLE CICCONE FAMILY. And if your name starts with "Gabriel" and ends with "Caras", you can take a LONG walk off a short pier!!!
So remember all the wonderfulness (read: wanting to stab our eyes out) that we got with Janet yesterday? Well, Libby Lu does Mama proud in today's episode! Wanna know basically what she said to Gabriel today?
"OMG HOW DARE YOU TRY TO HELP ME! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT I'M A CICCONE AND THEREFORE NEED TO MAKE EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE AS HARD AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN CRY ABOUT IT TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN LATER?! GOD, GABRIEL! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! HAVE YOU BEEN TAKING POINTERS FROM DUSTY?!"
Wow. WOW, you guys. The Oakdale Brain eludes Liberty and Janet (and Gabriel) like they've got the plague! I can understand that Libs and Janet want to make it their own way yadda yadda, but 1) Janet's a little too old to play the "I have to find my own path" card (especially since she's already been there, done that), and 2) neither one of them were grateful that somebody out there was trying to look out for them! Seriously...Dusty and Gabriel should dump the two of them on their asses. Though I don't think we have to worry too much about Gabriel because I'm convinced he just wants to bang Liberty and run. :-P
And speaking of following in the wrong footsteps, Gabriel just a chip off the ol' block, isn't he? For as much crying as he does about not wanting to be like Craig or have Craig's influence in his life, he does every stupid thing that Craig would do without even realizing it. And Craig didn't even raise him!

What, did ATWT save these old scripts that they'd initially written but tossed aside for whatever reason and then just decided to air them all in one shot because they had nothing better to put on? I don't know what's going on with this week, but I could have lived without ALL of these episodes so far.
Parker - seriously...give up on Liberty. The girl's a dumbshit. If she'd rather have Gabriel over you, do you really want her? Think about it. Einstein, she is not.
Faith - first off, stop being a skank. Kthx. Secondly, PARKER IS YOUR COUSIN. Yeah, I know, no bloodlines, but...COUSIN. Ick. (PS if your father saw you in that dental-floss bikini, he'd have you quarantined at the farm for the rest of your life.)
Liberty - see "Gabriel" and "Caras" above for instructions on what to do with your life.
Lily - get out of this thing with Craig ASAP. He may mean well right now, but this is going to blow up in your face. CARLY WILL MURDER YOU WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
Jack - kick Gabriel's ASS. I don't care if he shows up to work at the cabin on time and says "please" and "thank you" every step of the way - SMASH THAT KID INTO THE DIRT.
Carly - thank you for being the one person I had no problems with yet again! Love you.
Lucinda - stop putting raunchy ideas into Faith's head. I've had my fill of dumbf*ck teens on this show, thank you. Faith can't tell her ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to boys, and it shows. Also, lay off Lily a bit, okay? She needs to know she can do stuff on her own. It'll be good for her self-esteem.

Good news is, we have more Henry and Babs tomorrow, but bad news is...we have Vienna, too. Hopefully Chris and Katie will make up for her being on the show, though my Spidey-senses tell me that's not going to happen. :-P Oh, well.
Sorry, everyone. Hope today's recap wasn't too much of a downer. I'm just finding it really hard to enjoy Liberty/Gabriel/Janet et al. Lily and Carly's stuff is fine, Carly and Jack are good, and even the stuff with Lucinda is good. But Liberty and her continued asshattery with Gabriel is making me nuts!
