Vienna's Pathetic World? Still Turning - Today's Recap, 7/1/10
So I know that you all know how I feel about Vienna, and I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but...
WTF?! Seriously.
Today Vienna decides that she wants Katie to help her harm Barbara - in the "bodily" kind of way - and then after Katie talks her out of that wonderful idea, Vienna manipulates Katie into believing her marriage to Henry is a good idea with the cunning use of Brad!talk and then chastises Katie for having gone to Brad's grave on "the day of her wedding". HOW DARE KATIE VISIT HER DEAD HUSBAND ON A DAY LIKE TODAY! DOESN'T SHE KNOW THAT THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND VIENNA RIGHT NOW?!
But honestly, why Katie is defending Vienna like she deserves to be defended is BEYOND me. Vienna isn't even being a good friend to Katie, but Katie's still willing to take a bullet for her! ARGH. WHY?! What has Vienna done for Katie lately? Katie's had some pretty serious love woes herself recently, and the only person who's been there for her, to listen to her, was Reid! And that was by accident!
And yeah yeah, Katie wants Vienna and Henry to have what she and Brad didn't have blah blah blah...but she needs to let go of that notion like, yesterday. Vienna and Henry are NOT the same as she and Brad were! Nothing will replace what Katie and Brad might have had in their future. And Henry's heart is somewhere else - namely, with Barbara. And if his talks with Brad at Brad's gravestone today were not PERFECT indication that Barbara is the one Henry wants ('cause he was all she likes me for me about Barbara!), then I'm REALLY missing something here. I understand where Katie's coming from, because she's still grieving, but...Henry needs to do what Henry wants to do. Otherwise everyone involved is going to end up getting hurt in the end.
And let's not even get me started on Vienna's fake pregnancy bump! >_< I had a hard enough time dealing with that on Glee when Will's wife thought it would be a good idea to deceive him that way. But hey...they ended up divorcing because of it, so...(leave it to Vienna to have me rooting for divorce! That's awful!)
Poor Henry. I want him out of this situation, ASAP. He's getting screwed over without even knowing it!
However, a couple good things have come from this ridiculous storyline. Barbara is ON to Vienna...I mean she's on her like white on rice! She knows about Vienna's tryst with Casey, she knows Vienna's taking an herbal supplement for infertility issues, and she knows now that Vienna isn't pregnant! RUN, BARBARA! RUN LIKE THE WIND! TELL HENRY THE TRUTH!
And, Henry asked Paul to be his best man. ♥_♥ OMG when he asked Paul I melted into my chair! And Paul said yes! YAY! I said it the other day: I love the two of them as brothers! So damn cute! And even Paul was like, "If you told me a year ago that Henry and I would be friends, let alone brothers, I never would have believed you!" LOL. Paul's a good stand-in for Brad. Especially since tomorrow he's telling Henry that he can't marry Vienna when he has feelings for Barbara! GOOD BOY, PAUL!
And Henry was also cute when he was hyperventilating into his teeny paper bag over not having the rings! ROFL. Henry Coleman, I love you. NOW GO BE WITH BARBARA! :-)
And Casey and Ali, WHOO! I'm SO HAPPY that Ali was straight-forward about the letter from Mick (even though the letter made me gag) and Casey was as cool as he could be about it all. YAY! You can tell that the two of them are just so happy to be back in each other's good graces again. ♥ AND ALI BURNED THE LETTER. THANK THE HEAVENS. Whew!
Also...my feelings on Mick Dante? They're still something akin to:
with a lot more hair-pulling, possible vomiting, and extreme headdesking going on! :-P
