Life is really good right now. Things have never been better, and all signs point to them only improving. However, several people around me are having their lives broken and torn apart. It sucks to want to celebrate, but how, when others are suffering? And yet, when should I celebrate?

Apparently vacations are good for me, because I came back from DC and got my crazy inbox down to 50 emails, all tagged. Then I organized much of my big camp over the summer. At choir tonite, someone said a prayer and talked about grace. My mind started wandering (I'm a horrible listener sometimes) to where I've had grace in my life. I really couldn't put my finger on it because it's such a vague word for me, aside from being thankful for food each day ( Read more... )

I've been watching "Glee" a campy, fun tv musical about high school kids who like to sing and dance. As much as I'm enjoying it, I'm frustrated with the teen pregnancy storyline. I never knew I've grown to resist The Man. I had a job interview today. I've never actually had one in my entire life. I worked as a secretary in high school for two companies: my mom's real estate office and my aunt's doctor's office. No interview needed. Since then I've been my own boss in various settings.
