Domino sings out to me, you can do it!, and I wonder
is she lying to me?
or am I lying to myself?

Outside, the night before Thanksgiving,
only one star shines blurry in the purple sky,
My future feels much the same way,
minus the poetic sensibilities.

walking across campus,
a new feeling suddenly emerges within me:
i will succeed this semester!

there are only two things that fuel me now-
love and rage.

I think sometimes people are from the stars
and that maybe trees are our roots back to the earth
or sometimes that when we die we should be reduced to ash because that is the closest we will ever get to returning back to the stars
erturning back to the place where we belong
it's the utlimate road trip back home.
