Title: An Act of Dominance
Pairing: Onho
Rating: NC-17
Genre: AU, werecats, smut, alpha/beta
Summary: Minho is bored. It seems like he's fucked at least every single (and sometimes not) were-something or other in the city. Being a jaguar, it's common to be on your own, opting instead to sell yourself to other prides and pards to ensure the big cat lineage. But he's sick of all the big cat bullshit. He'd much rather sink his teeth into the cute new bobcat in town, and Minho doesn't know the term 'off limits'.
Part Twelve
Minho sat up slowly, limbs sluggish, his body aching as if he’d just got the shit knocked out of him. His dick hurt most of all, but he would never have admitted that to Jinki. It was worth it, he thought, the bond inside his mind calming him even as his eyes glowed amber. Looking up from his mate to the tiger shifter a few feet from him, he felt his cat rising to the surface yet again, a growl reverberating in his chest.
“Party’s over. Everyone out,” Joon said quietly, the room emptying out quickly around them, but Minho’s eyes stayed glued to the other alpha until only four shifters remained, Thunder coming to stand behind Joon silently.
“Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t kill you right now,” Minho growled, hugging Jinki tightly to his chest as he stood up, feet still half asleep, needles shooting up his legs.
“Because… your hands are full?” Thunder supplied behind Joon, both alphas practically grimacing at the attempted humor.
“Oh come on, I wouldn’t have kept you forever. You’re so dramatic,” Joon drawled.
“I’ll show you dramatic-” Minho started, but Jinki’s hand coming up to rest against his chest stopped him.
“I already crushed his balls, let’s just go home, we can kill him another day, okay?” he mumbled, purring as his head snuggled into the crook of Minho’s arm. Minho raised his eyebrows briefly before staring back over at the tiger shifter darkly. Joon merely shrugged.
“My contract is void now, correct?” Minho said through gritted teeth.
“Unless your mate wants to pay me to fuck you from here on out -which I’m okay with- then yes.”
Minho snarled at Joon, but Jinki’s nails running along his chest stopped him from dropping him to finally deal with the bastard. With a growled sigh, he began walking away from the two other shifters, his cat furious, but more than willing to listen to his other half on the matter. After all, he got Jinki out of this shitstorm.
“What, that’s it? No epic boss battle?” Thunder asked, shying away when Joon went to smack him.
“Though he’s an idiot, I rather agree. You have every right to try and kill me. Notice I say try, yet there you go, listening to someone weaker than you.”
At the doorway, Minho turned around, eyes mocking. “One of these days, Joon, you’ll find a mate too. Tiger shifter or not, you’ll learn that the caste means jack shit when it comes to a mating bond.” At Joon’s pained face, he added, “Oh wait, no you won’t,” before finally leaving the mansion all together.
Joon watched the jaguar saunter off, his claws slicing into his palms. For once, Thunder remained quiet behind him. Cracking his neck as he tilted his head from side to side, he mentally regrouped, looking around the room in distaste before finally asking, “How much did we make?”
“Enough to pay off this fucking money pit of a house, finally. I mean seriously, can’t we move? Who needs three sex dungeons?”
Joon laughed half heartedly, letting the taller leopard wrap his arms around him from behind, the embrace welcome. “I can’t help it that you’re insatiable.”
The man behind him purred in agreement even as his teeth bit at his shoulder, breaking skin.
He didn’t need a mate. Not when he had Thunder.

He eyed the lynx that returned his car harshly, making the smaller boy squirm, before finally placing Jinki in the passenger seat. “I trust you had fun with my baby?”
The shifter smiled shyly, going all cutesy as he replied, “Yesss.”
Minho’s hand coming up threateningly had the boy all but running away screaming. He scoffed before walking around the car to get in himself.
Halfway through the drive, Jinki turned towards him, still partially asleep, to ask, “What did you mean? About the mate comment?”
Minho sighed, a hand reaching out to brush through Jinki’s soft hair as he talked. “Joon killed his mate in a very similar fashion to what we did earlier.”
“What? That’s terrible! Why would you even bring that up?”
“Because I hate the prick! He thought my cat was going to kill you, which is the only reason he didn’t stop us from completing the mating bond in the first place.”
“Oh…” Jinki said between purrs, “…but still, it was wrong. Reflect on your actions.”
“Yes sir,” Minho chuckled before parking the car and taking Jinki, his mate, into their house.
Three Months Later
He snuggled against Jinki’s turned back, sensing his mate’s turmoil. “What is it?” he whispered against his hair, pulling him closer as they lay curled up on the bed. The past few months had been amazing, he could admit even the daily fighting was fun for him, but after Honey had had her child a few weeks ago… Jinki had drawn into himself, had become more like the Jinki he’d first met, and not the one he’d come to love so dearly.
“The pounce is moving away today, my mother messaged me while you were showering.”
Minho froze against him, not liking when Jinki pulled away from his embrace. “They can’t. We had a deal.”
Jinki laughed bitterly as he scooted over to the edge of the bed. “And how many times have I got to see him since he was born?”
“Well… none… but what we said to them the last time…”
“It wouldn’t hold up in court, are you kidding me? I can’t prove we had an agreement on the boy’s upbringing. Maybe if I could things would be different… but as it stands, I have no rights over this child any more than I did with any of the others.” He stood up, shoulders tense. The only reason he knew what his son looked like, what his son’s name was, was because of his mother going against his father’s wishes behind his back.
“I’ll figure something out,” Minho assured him, “Threatening them seemed to work the last time.”
Jinki’s eyes glowed hazel as he turned on him angrily. “Being an alpha doesn’t solve everything, Minho! You can’t just growl at things and expect to get what you want!”
Minho sighed as he watched Jinki jump out their window, a common occurrence in their relationship. No doubt he was going out on one of his daily ‘alone time’ runs. Even after all these months, Jinki preferred to run solo.
But then what Jinki said slapped him in the face. Jinki was right, being an alpha wouldn’t solve this problem… but being a tracker would.
Grabbing his phone off the nightstand, he pulled on some pants as he dialed in the number. He was fully dressed by the time the man finally picked up the phone.
“Hey, I know it’s been a while, but I need to call in that favor you owe me.”

Twenty minutes later had him driving up to Jinki’s former house, police escort in tow.
Stepping out of the car, he watched as the bickering couple got out from the squad car behind him as well. Sounded like they were fighting over action movies again.
“Can you guys at least try to act professional for two seconds?” Minho smiled as he walked towards them, letting the two wolves engulf him in a bone crushing embrace.
“It’s good to see you again,” Siwon smiled.
“But I’m rather upset that you only called to use us,” Donghae pouted up at him, making Siwon scowl at his mate.
“Sorry, I promise to take you guys out sometime soon,” he started, but before he could chat with them more, Jinki’s father was stepping out of the house. No doubt the police lights and siren still obnoxiously blaring had attracted his attention. These two were anything if not flashy.
The two wolves at his side backed away immediately, professional expressions solidly in place. Minho did his best not to roll his eyes as he made his way towards his… father in law. The term left a bad taste in his mouth.
“What are you doing here?” the older man asked warily.
Minho merely shrugged, looking around at the boxes scattered over the lawn, the moving trucks on the street, before making eye contact with the smaller man. “Going somewhere?”
“As a matter of fact, we are,” the bobcat said, puffing up defensively even as his eyes skittered away from the jaguar’s.
“I’m afraid you can’t do that,” Minho said calmly.
“Like hell I can’t! We are leaving today!”
“Well?” Minho asked, turning to look at the two wolves. “Is that a breach in the contract, or what?”
“Contract? Wha-“ Jinki’s father started.
“Definitely a breach,” Donghae nodded, his thumb and forefinger coming up to rub at his chin. Minho did roll his eyes at that one, but luckily Jinki’s father didn’t notice.
“What the fu-“
“The verbal agreement you had with mister…?” Siwon started, trailing off and looking towards his friend innocently.
“Choi,” Minho spat out, doing his best to control his facial expression.
“Ah, yes, Mr. Choi,” Siwon amended. “You stated on the 25th-“
“26th,” Donghae corrected.
“Right, the 26th of December, that if and when you decided to move away, the child mentioned within the contract would be turned over to the biological father, Lee Jinki.”
The bobcat’s eyes practically bulged out of their sockets after that tidbit of information.
Minho coughed awkwardly, bringing up, “And you would testify this in court, correct?”
“Of course we would,” Donghae assured, “We were there when the agreement was made, after all.”
“What nonse-“
“Sir, if you’re not going to cooperate, we’re going to have to take you into custody,” Siwon said sternly, watching Donghae as he walked into the house, a smile on his face.
Minho listened as Donghae explained the situation to Jinki’s mother, who was now standing in the entranceway curiously, a baby on her hip. He was rather surprised that she didn’t fight the lie at all, instead went in the house to help collect the infant’s things for them.
When Jinki’s father finally came out of shock enough, he resisted, Siwon having to ‘slap’ the cuffs on him, as they often liked to say, before shoving him in the back of their cruiser. Siwon gave him a thumbs up out of the view of the window… and the most ridiculous face Minho had ever seen before hopping into the squad car himself to wait for his partner to finish up. Wolves.
He passed Donghae on the way into the house, the smaller man patting him on the back. “Maybe beers another time, Choi, looks like you’re going to have your hands full for quite a while. I’ll tell the guys you say hi, yeah?”
Minho nodded, bringing the man in for another hug, “Thank you for this.”
“Hey, this is nothing compared to the time we-“ but Minho’s hand was clamped over the man’s blabbering mouth in seconds.
“Don’t you have somewhere you need to be?” he warned, Donghae merely laughing and nodding as he skipped off, a friendly wave over his head as he hopped in beside Siwon. Like he said before. Wolves.
Jinki’s mother came up to stand beside him, both of them watching as the car sped off down the street.
“Don’t worry, as long as he cooperates, there won’t be any charges,” Minho assured, looking down at the woman briefly, before she surprised him, throwing an arm around him in a partial hug, baby being held awkwardly between them. He patted her on the back, unsure of what to do.
“Thank you so much for being in my son’s life. I know you two will raise Yoogeun to be the best possible bobcat he can be.”
“So his name is Yoogeun…” Minho said in a daze, holding the baby gingerly as Jinki’s mother gently but firmly pushed the child into his arms.
“Good luck with that one, he’s a handful.”
Minho’s eyes widened as he stared down into the seemingly innocent baby’s face. “…what do I do with it?”
“Well I can see this is going to be very fun for you,” she responded happily, ignoring his face of panic all together, instead piling all of Yoogeun’s things into his Jaguar. “You’re gonna need to trade this in for a more ‘kid friendly’ vehicle… or at least something with more back seat space.”
There was no way in hell he was doing that… would Jinki make him do that? He shook away the thought. He had enough money to buy an entire car lot, what was he worried about trading in cars for? The baby was already getting to him.
When they, and by they, he meant him and his… son, arrived back home, Jinki still wasn’t back yet, and Minho experienced another moment of sheer panic. What the hell was he supposed to do with an infant? It didn’t really look like it -he, he meant he- could stand on his own, so was he just supposed to… hold it?
He sat down on the bed, shell shocked, a sleepy child cradled in his arms, and waited.
______________________
He had fought with himself for hours on whether or not to go see his family before they left, but in the end, he had been more concerned with his last words to Minho than anything else. Minho was his family now; he needed to stop treating him like he was only temporary. Still, sometimes he was scared to death to face the jaguar after a fight, not that he really had any reason to be.
Sighing as he slid the window to their bedroom open quietly, he opened his mouth to start on his apology… and it stayed there.
Minho was sleeping in the middle of their bed, a baby kitten nestled on his chest. He knew the second he laid eyes on him, that it was his son. For a moment he just crouched there, half way in the room as if he were a robber, not sure quite what to do, when the little thing caught a whiff of his scent, the kitten springing up and doing it’s best to wobble towards him.
The movement woke Minho up. He had a split second to realize he was now holding a kitten instead of a baby before he blurted out, “I swear, it was a child when I brought it home. Do I need to return it?”
Jinki’s eyes welled up with tears, his feet finding their way to the bed slowly. He sat down gingerly, kitten looking up at him with big, round eyes before he finally reached his arms out and collected the boy, his child, holding him for the first time. He rubbed his face up against the kitten’s fur, fingers stroking his back as he cried silently.
Minho sidled up next to him, arms wrapping around him. “If I would have known he would make you cry so much, I wouldn’t have gotten him for you.”
“Shut up, you idiot,” he sobbed, cuddling into Minho’s arms further, the kitten content to be nestled between them. Jinki had never felt so complete in his entire life.
And surprisingly, neither had Minho, a small smile gracing the jaguar’s face as he held the family he had never planned on existing, yet made him happier than he could have ever imagined.
