Week 2
Dayshift 29 - Day 5
Dias and Claude discuss what happened last night in the chapel and decide to move forward.
Claude and Ashton talk during brunch, and it’s finally revealed that his best friend and Dias definitely have something going on. After a few misunderstandings, the two try to iron things out, and Claude says he’s willing to offer advice.
Claude meets Hanyuu, and they have a chat about time differences.
Claude is shocked when he receives a visit from his father.
During dinner, Claude tries to hide his emotional state and prepares for an outing with Luke and Guy. He’s concerned to hear Asch has no memories of the other night.
Night 29
After getting the rest of his things together, he heads out to meet with Guy and Luke.
As he walks through the hallway, he wonders if they will find anything useful.
Claude arrives outside of Guy’s room and meets Peony and Jade. Things are a little awkward for him until they leave, but then their conversation turns to Luke, who’s late. After some time passes, they realize he might have been taken for experiments and decide check into it.
Because Guy doesn’t know the way to the experiment labs, Claude takes the lead.
As they make their way through the building, Claude warns Guy about the dementor he faced a couple of nights ago. Guy is ready to take on anything, and Claude is glad his friend isn‘t going it alone.
They head towards the stairwell.
As they head up the stairs, they’re joined by Asch.
The trio head down the hallway while keeping chit chat to a minimum.
They reach the outside of the lab hallway. The door has already been opened, and Claude decides to be the one to lead them inside.
They spot a group of patients under attack, but are forced to forgo helping them in favor of finding Luke. Asch discovers an unlocked door, and they head inside.
Luke is in bad shape when they find him, and they quickly decide to carry him somewhere safer.
With Luke with them, they step out into the hallway as nightshift ends.
Dayshift 30 - Day 6
Claude is stunned to find that night has ended, and he immediately worries for his friends. As soon as he arrives in the cafeteria, he seeks Asch out, only to discover that he remembers just as much about the night before. They’re soon joined by Guy, and Claude puts up an optimistic front for his sake. Soon, however, a riot breaks out, and Claude tries to convince Asch not to join in.
Claude meets Qui-Gon Jinn in the showers, and he’s interested to learn about the older man’s background.
Worried for his rival, Claude hangs around outside of the music room and keeps an eye out for Dias. They meet, and discuss the riot, the meeting between Mr. Radio, Dias, Ashton and Leon, and, eventually, the complicated issues surrounding Dias and Ashton’s relationship, and Claude’s reaction to it.
Ashton joins Claude for an out-of-the-ordinary dinner, and the two discuss Dias, and Ashton’s MU session’s unusual affects. Ashton, realizing that Claude is a little lonely, decides to set him up with someone. He then happily tells Claude that Celine actually came to visit him, and shows the piece of jewelry she brought him.
Night 30
Luke brings Claude his jacket, and they’re soon joined by Guy. Luke, who’s still suffering from last night’s torture, gets a bloody nose, and he and Guy decide to stick together for the night. Claude, who secretly intends to go to the greenhouse alone, accepts Guy’s bat for the night.
Claude goes along his way, secretly hoping that he’ll run into his friends along the way, and taking care not to get into any trouble. He passes through here and resists the urge to get involved in a fight between patients. He then makes himself ignore the patients gathered around the Sun Room in favor of not wasting too much time. Not long after that, he heads out the door, passes through the yard, and breaks the lock.
While Claude gathers herbs, he encounters a giant scorpion. After trying to engage it, he’s stung and is brutally attacked. In a panicked moment, Claude thinks he’s about to die, until Ashton saves the day. But the poison is overtaking Claude’s body, and Ashton must try to get him help.
Claude’s condition worsens, and Ashton sets him down into the grass as he slips into unconsciousness.
Day 31 - Day 7
Claude wakes up, grateful to have had Ashton’s help, and seeks Leon out. He promises him he’ll get to the bottom of the mess they’re in.
In which Claude and Zelnick meet up and discuss their respective backgrounds, and the phenomenon of patients changing bodies.
During lunch, Claude thanks Guy for letting him use his bat and meets Anise. They discuss their respective planets, time differences, and the fact someone seems to use the same artes as Guy.
Claude wonders why Ashton hadn't sought him out as he quietly eats dinner.
Nightshift 31
Guy shows up to reclaim his bat, and the two agree to search for some batteries together. Their target is the music room -- but is it the place where the radio clue is hidden, too? There’s only one way to find out.
As they walk, Claude asks Guy if he’s all right.
Guy explains that not many people share the same sword style as him, which is why he was troubled by Anise’s news. Claude wonders if this mystery swordsman is related to Guy and suggests he talk to him about it if he’s worried.
Claude tells Guy he can talk to him if he ever needs anything.
The pair come across a fight between two patients, and Guy wonders if they should intervene. It’s a tough decision, but Claude decides that there help probably isn’t wanted, and Guy agrees. They go along their way.
They pass through the sun room and avoid another fight before slipping into the sun room.
Guy and Claude have the fortune of running into Anise, Ion and Axel, who are looking for the radio clue. They’re suddenly attacked by two lurchers, however, and after a grueling fight, they only have a few batteries to show for their trouble.
Dayshift 32 - Day 8
Claude meets Heiji, and they have a nice chat about oceans and space.
A brief conversation with Fayt that ends a bit too quickly.
Claude meets Alkaid, a new patient. Their conversation is a rocky one, to say the least.
Nightshift 32
Claude leaves a note for Guy and heads off to meet with Miles Edgeworth.
He gratefully takes some scalpels and information from Edgeworth.
With that taken care of, Claude hurries back to his room.
Guy’s waiting for him in his room, and he’s brought some flasks and chemicals, courtesy of Peony. Claude is able to identify the camphor and the ammonium. He puts everything up before the two head out to collect some metal.
They head for the nearest bathroom, but it seems it’s already been grabbed by a group of patients…who are being attacked. Claude wants to help them, but Guy reminds him they’re not in any shape to get involved. Claude relents, and they search for another bathroom.
They decide what to do in case they get attacked themselves.
Guy asks if he intends to make a sword from his metal, and Claude thinks back on his argument with Dias.
They find the bathroom and head inside.
They spend the rest of the night gathering metal and talking about their lives prior to Landel’s.
Dayshift 33 - Day 9
Claude meets Fayt Leingod again. Although it‘s nice to find someone who‘s from the same universe, it's a bit jarring to know Fayt comes from farther into the future than Claude himself.
Claude has an appointment with Dr. Hattori Sohma, which leaves him feeling more rattled than he‘d like to admit.
During lunch, he has another rocky conversation with Alkaid…until they find out they have a bit more in common than they first realized.
Unsure of how to use gardening tools, Claude approaches Guy on some input. They wind up talking about the merits and drawbacks of science, and Claude suggests that Guy learn more about heraldry.
During dinner, Claude passes the time by reading ‘The Time Machine’.”
Once nightshift starts, Claude gets ready for a night of compounding, though he’s a bit worried about what could have happened to Asch.
He passes through here and , willing himself to be optimistic, before he arrives in Ashton and Axel’s room. They spend the evening compounding and are eventually joined by Dias.
Dayshift 34 - Day 10
Claude finds the girl he saw in Dr. Sohma’s office the other day and makes sure she’s all right. He promises to do what he can in order to help her out.
While eating lunch with Leon, Claude asks Leon to put together some materials explaining heraldry for the Auldrantians. Leon agrees, and the two spend the rest of the time offering moral support for each other.
Claude showers with Ashton and Guy; at Ashton’s request, he agrees to borrow his sword and accompany Guy to the basement that night.
Dinner time is spent reading more H.G. Wells.
Nightshift 34
Claude gets ready for nightshift.
He passes through here and safely arrives in Ashton’s room to borrow one of his swords.
He passes through here, here and here before meeting up with Guy and Peony. They briefly speak with Jade before heading out.
Peony decides to turn their walk to the basement into a race.
Not one to be outdone, Claude hurries after him.
Guy takes the lead as they round the corner.
They pause in the sun room before Peony bolts into the cafeteria.
The trio heads towards the kitchen, though Claude is mildly annoyed with Peony’s antics.
The kitchen is surprisingly empty, and they head into the fridge.
After walking into the fridge, they prepare to venture into the basement, but don’t actually make it.
Dayshift 35 - Day 11
Since today is the trip to Doyleton, Claude boards one of the buses. There he formally introduces himself to Ion, who says he needs Claude to arrange a meeting between him and Guy. What Claude doesn’t realize is that ‘Ion’ is actually Sync the Tempest, who wants to lure his friend into a trap.
After getting off the bus, Claude bumps into Leon, who’s less than pleased with the coupon selection. They decide to look through the town together.
They decide to head into the bookstore.
As they’re browsing around, they’re soon joined by Dias, who asks if they know where Ashton is. Claude reflects on how and he and Dias don’t know each other that well before stepping outside for some fresh air.
Guy approaches Claude, and the two talk a little bit about Leon, and how it’d be nice if he met some more friends. Claude also tells Guy that ‘Ion’ wants to speak with them, and the two decide to spend nightshift together once the meeting is taken care of.
On the bus ride back, Claude sits with Anise. They discuss Peony and clubs, among other things.
Claude spends dinner reading more of ‘The Time Machine’.
nightshift 35
Claude doesn’t take much time to get ready. He decides to leave Ashton‘s sword behind in case he comes to pick it up.
He passes through here, here, here, here, here, and here before arriving in the designated hallway. Claude heads into the room first, but is ambushed by Sync, who soon knocks Claude out. When he finally comes to, he’s panicked to hear a struggle going on outside of the closet he’s been stuffed in. He finally manages to break free of his bindings, but he and Guy are no match for Sync, who eventually leaves them, but Guy has a broken arm, and Claude has a broken nose. Claude manages to retrieve their things before night ends.
