Day 33: Doctor's Office 9 (Dr. Sohma)

Jun 26, 2008 11:40

It was Thursday.

Dr. Hatori Sohma noted this, allowing himself a small, private smile as he pored through patient files. He'd arrived a little earlier than usual today, after all the patients had gone to breakfast but not much later, in an effort to get a little bit of chartreading done before his office was invaded by obnoxious (but occasionally well-meaning) patients.

He'd brought his breakfast in with him, actually. A breakfast sandwich (or whatever they called it at the fast food place - Tasty Eggy Muffin? - Hatori'd just ordered the number two combo) and a hashbrown patty. And coffee to go. They did have coffee in the staff room, but he'd at least spare one of the nurses the pleasure of getting it for him. And, in turn, spare himself a conversation.

He was here to work, not to carry on with nurses who were not nearly as interesting as one he had known before.

So he studied the two charts he had for today, concentrating on the one scheduled for morning. Thomas Appleby. Seemed that the young man had been here long enough to have had a visitor. That was possibly a topic of conversation for them. And such a decorated father, at that.

And for all it was worth, he was actually in a passable mood today. Not that many people could tell such a thing. Dr. Sohma's facial expressions weren't incredibly varied.
