I found these two beautiful sites, both via
Fabulist;
An immensely touching little video, Japanese, but with a (slightly wonky) English version. For some reason, I've been thinking a lot about my father lately. He died about ten years ago, and I fear I was always a bit of a disappointment. Anyway, this made me cry a little because of that.
A personal little moon, rather reminiscent of this haunting
BBC1 ident that I think I've linked to once before.
I also spent a long time looking at sites about gardening on roofs and walls, after reading a fascinating entry at the excellent
Cabinet of Wonders (scroll down a bit). Rather than working on my own sadly neglected roof terrace. Ahem. My favourite link was about
Patric Blanc's vertical gardens, most of which are in France, alas. He uses ordinary plants, not climbers, to cover vertical surfaces with thick greenery. Why don't we have anything like this over here? Surely they would do wonderfully in a wet climate like ours.
