Today we did something completely different and went along to a picnic in Chorlton Park to celebrate Lorraine's birthday! The weather was sunny but the wind was strong and at times cold. Today's paperwork sorting session was much less stressful than I thought.....initially we thought there were just 7 piles of stuff to sort out and we quickly worked out an action plan for every one of those. This is teenagedethgrrl with Patch, the latest edition to our family. We have Patch on long term foster......he's here for at least a year and probably forever. He really is a sweet boy and very huggly!

I somehow thought that a dog would find us at some time. We deliberately ruled out having a dog until after we got back from Istanbul. But while we were there we were asked if we ccould foster Patch and yesterday it was confirmed. And this evening Mr Patch arrived to stay with us for an indefinate period of time ( Read more... )

My ability to get out of bed seems to be virtually non-existent. And when I do manage to get up, doing anything is such an effort. It is very apparent now just how much flossdog made sure I was at least partially active as she needed letting out before too much of the day had passed and insisted on getting some attention whch forced me to do something. milliedog ( Read more... )

I'm really not doing very well at updating this.....mostly because Shoples has been taking up lots of my time. We had a stall at GTRA Neighbours' Day which was not as successful as we had hoped because virtually nobody turned up! Tonight tabatha_yeddap has 'phoned the rescue centre and they (or rather she!) is happy for us to take him to the vets and keep hold of him until he finds his new home ( Read more... )

Yesterday tabatha_yeddap went over to Liverpool to pick up a doggy that is in need of rescue. He is bound for a Yorkshire Terrier rescue centre over in Grantham but for a few days we are looking after him. For a Yorkie he is absolutely massive!

Our Manchester bed is a bit of a sun-trap......
gibson_boy loves this!!! Yesterday he was laying on the bed lapping up the sun but it was too bright for him to be able to keep his eyes properly open so he borrowed one of my hats to make himself more comfortable.......bless him - he is sooooo cute.

Earlier this evening we were all waiting for tabatha_yeddap to get back from her epic trip to the supermarket......the doggies were so tired of waiting that they all snuggled on the chair together - flossdog was there as well but moved as soon as I picked up teh camera!
