This week I'm off to Pennsic! Two weeks of SCA, camping and seeing friends. I haven't gone in a couple of years so I'm excited. I had to make a few new outfits and while doing so I found a shirt I started to make for an ex of mine that wanted to go to the PA Ren Faire with me... Let's start off with the good stuff first... after having to threaten to quit in order to get my requested time off (I had only put in for it 3 months in advance) I got to go to a SCA Camping event with friends. I had a good time this year... I guess the anxiety and feeling that I forgot something was totally baseless. I think I got to dance all but 2 days and each day I was dancing about 2 or 3 hours. I took some great classes in Romany/Turkish dance and the fast and funky finger cymbals was pretty informative as well. I also took a few of the beginner ( Read more... )

I got out to the Oakmont Greek Food Festival and had a very tasty dinner and grabbed a few pieces of assorted baklava for the weekend... I'm thinking it would go nicely with coffee in the morning, so I gave into temptation and ate the apricot baklava, it was amazing! I am tempted to drive back down and get more. So Wednesday the 5th of June I'm going in to get what the doctor thinks is just a cyst removed from my back... it'll be the first time I've ever had stitches and I've been told by a friend that no matter how "minor" the doctor says it is, it's going to hurt just because of where it's located. On the crap side I got a check for a class action lawsuit that finally settled, this is under the crap side because it's made out to my ex and myself.
