Brand slappin' new!!

Well, after a half-month unannounced hiatus, I am back and ready to tell you all about my holiday and the fun of the beginnings of school... and maybe some other stuff that I missed.

Holiday-Shmoliday
This year I really wanted to get a good head start on my Christmas shopping and the like, so that I wouldn't be rushed this year. But sadly that was far from being accomplished. I did most of my shopping (most being all but like 2 items) on the 21st-24th. My crazy work schedule and me being a super sociable person all accounted to my minor downfall. But it all turned out okay in the end. Christmas was fun. Even though I did work on Christmas Eve, it was a morning shift, and I was able to be with my family. Everything turned out really well. And even with the time I spent with Annie's family things, it was all good and fun! In the end, I recieved: About $150, about $150 in gift certificates to various restraunts, a Wii controller and controller skins, Super Monkey Ball for my Wii, and some (needed) shirts. Annie was especially nice to me over the holiday. So it was all good and a good time. But let's not forget the real reason for the season, yes?

New Years!
New years was both good... and bad... The bad was that I couldn't be home for New Years. I had to work. But the kind of unfair trade off was that I was in the bar for the night shift. So I really didn't know what to expect. From what I heard, they were going to convert the bar area into a cocktail-only, standing room only, bar. So part of me knew that it was going to be a long, hard shift. But in the end, it wasn't that bad! And to top it all off, I actually made over $200! So I was happy... but sad that I went through the new year without my Annie... But after it was all said and done, I went over to the sleepy Annie's house and gave her that first new year's kiss.

School Suckage!
Okay, so I started school yesterday, and originally I didn't think that it was going to be so bad. Only two classes: Calculus II and Java Programming II. Sadly, I think I was mistaken. Yesterday I get to my Calc class only to find out that I have NO clue what I'm doing. As a matter of fact, the instructor clearly said that if your rusty or struggling with the stuff in Calc I, then you're in BIG trouble. And I hope that I can re-kindle my old math knowledge, because I need to pass if I'm going to keep my school carrer going. And the supplemental class isn't going to be fun either. Rather than being a "what problems are you having? Let's work to understanding" class... it's a "Here's a worksheet with more problems for you to do with your classmates. You can't leave till you finish them". And I can't emphasize enough how much I hate group work... CS202 won't be bad, I'm just REALLY worried about Calc... really worried.

DIET!!!
So Annie and I are officially on the South Beach Diet. At first I didn't think that it was going to be hard. I'm not all that bad with my will power and changing what I eat. But I am experiencing something that I wasn't expecting at all. I'm always hungry, even though I'm eating like I should and the amounts that I should and the frequency that I should. But sadly, I think my body knows that I'm overall eating less and I'm constantly hungry. I didn't expect this. And that's going to be the hardest thing to get over. I'm sure that after a few days, I'll get used to eating smaller portions and I'll be fine. Annie seems to be doing REALLY well with her diet. So I can't wait to see what Kind of end results that we get.
