A Good Day - A Good Weekend - A Wonderful Week - An Amazing Month
Today I woke up to the smell of blueberry muffins being baked. Mmmm. I got to spend time w/ a good friend. And this evening I watched the Perseids w/ my husband. It was fun watching the night sky. So it was a good day.
[I have good memories of watching the night sky. Most recently, at Brushwood I saw the clearest night sky I've ever seen in my life. Oh, and one day there when it was supposed to storm, we watched the storm clouds overhead and it was beautiful. And the storm passed. Before that, there was this time I was at Lake Michigan and saw the northern lights overhead and reflected in the water right after watching a magnificent sunset....]
Yesterday I saw The Simpsons Movie w/ a couple friends. I know The Simpsons is supposed to be dumb, and I had friends who refused to go see it w/ me for that reason, but it was actually really cute and we laughed a lot. I am not ashamed of enjoying myself and laughing. I really love SpiderPig and the SpiderPig song. "Does he swing from a web? No, he does not because he's a pig...." Laughter w/ friends makes it a good weekend.
And looking back this week, I had an amazing vacation over Thursday evening - right in the middle of the week, without taking any real time off work. I got to spend unexpected time w/ Nomad. That was amazing and wonderful to be able to do! Also, looking back to the day before that, I got good news at work that I am moving into a new position that is pretty much a promotion I've been working toward. So it was a wonderful week.
And within a month's time from now, I went to Sirius Rising, Interfestival Days & Starwood at Brushwood. So it was an amazing month. Thanks to all who have shared these days w/ me. Any time I shared w/ anyone this month, whether in person, over the phone or online, helped make it the amazing time it was. Ok, so now I'm gushing w/ joy and I may sound like I'm high. Well, I don't care. I'm happy and that's another thing I should never have to be ashamed of.
I am repeating myself to say I am the most spoiled woman I know and I love you all!
