So I finally caved and bought myself reading material. It's pretty and new and paperback and unbent, and it's a beautiful afternoon, so I go out into the city square to read until the shuttle comes to take me back home.

Not ten minutes after I sit down, a pigeon flies over me and poops on my book and my pants.

I will never read outside again.

So to cap off the fabulous past week, my mother fell on Saturday morning and broke her ankle. She got it good...broke it in 3 places, dislocated it, and tore a ligament. She's having surgery later this week ( Read more... )

You know, it makes a lot of sense that the upper-respiratory clinic at UHS is on the third floor. THE THIRD FLOOR. Because people with upper-respiratory conditions (in other words, people with breathing issues) highly enjoy walking up three flights of stairs to get themselves checked out.
