Here's discussion about memory loss and language acquisition on linguaphiles. There's a casual joke about early onset Alzheimer's disease but I'm glad to say, my fellow comm members quickly suggested that the young person with memory loss should see a doctor.

I like this teaching session about political correctness. It's in a blog about race called Racialicious but the cop who speaks here discusses a whole range of issues, including disability.

Today on campus I got chatting with an academic linguist. She said that her main interest is discourse analysis. I'd never heard of that but my guess ('It's about how people use language to say what they mean,') turned out to be correct.
