In the UK soap opera I watch, Emmerdale, a story is going on about a brain tumour. As so often, they're not telling us what will happen, and I usually prefer not to know in advance. If you don't want to know what happened a few weeks ago,

I've been lucky and it's worked pretty well... of course I'll never know f it would have been better with the meds but it was an informed choice and that's the important thing to me

The side effects from some meds seem to me to be worse than the illness they are trying to cure!

and here's another thing...i damn well should have died 22 years ago next month. i made a real good attempt at it, but got pulled back (syrup of ipecac to make you sick up tastes like black licorice, if you've ever wondered, and activated carcoal tastes gritty, and will make your poop black for a couple of days while it works it's way through your guts) and lived.
we ALL come with an expiration date. am i suicidal now? no. i'm fairly content, plus i have a grandbaby to spoil! but someday, i'll die. and i'm ok with *that* idea, too.

I'm not bothered about my expiration date either... I hope it's a long way off because there are loads of things I want to do but hey, we're born, we die... it's the bit in the middle which matters.
