Aesiric Mythology is Doubly Impure

Academic scholars and the heathen religious hierarchy agree: Aesiric mythology is tainted by Christian impurities. How could it not be? Everything that remains of Aesiric mythology was written by Christians. How could they not taint what they wrote with their own values and views?

What is still ignored by most is that Aesiric mythology is also tainted by fragments of Vanic lore. How could it not be? Those who imposed the Aesir also absorbed some Vanic lore. How could they not taint the stories they told of the Aesir with fragments of what they absorbed of Vanic lore?

In others words, Aesiric mythology is doubly impure, tainted by both Christian and Vanic lore.

lore, aesir, aesiric mythology, norse mythology, vanic, vanir
