Back
No Marking Hell this week, but several term class meetings after teaching so I didn't get back to home before 8 pm at best. I still managed to go to the movies on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, and saw Triple 9 and Room. Vulture says that John Hawkes is quietly marvelous in Low Down.
I say that John Hawkes is marvelous in everything, period.

The return of Rufus
Yesterday I was at La Salle Pleyel and spent the evening with Rufus Wainwright.
I hadn't been to one of his gigs for years. He's still a hell of a performer and his voice was great.
