The 68th Film Festival in Cannes is starting tonight, with the Coen brothers as jury presidents. The opening ceremony has just happened.

Just saw the nominations for The Golden Globes.

I watched the excellent Nightcrawler last Staurday so I'm definitely rooting for Jake Gyllenhaal! Great, great performance. It's a shame the movie wasn't nominated, though...I haven't seen the films that are nominated, except Boyhood.

Yesterday evening, although I was very tired, I went to the movies and finally saw Enemy by Denis Villeneuve.

Yesterday, for the first time in years, I didn't watch the closing ceremony of Cannes festival. It is is usually on Sunday, but for some reason it was on Saturday this year. Perhaps because of the Euroepan elections?

I've seen a few films at the cinema lately: My Sweet Pepper Land, Eastern Boys, States of Grace and Labor Day. Eastern Boys was easily the best one and would be the only one I'd want to review.
