Ok, it's 2:30 in the morning, and I'm too tired to write a real political rant, but I just had to share this little gem:
This is the opening sentence from an AP article about Bill Frist's take on a potential avian flu pandemic:
A flu pandemic would wreak havoc on the economy, which is why Congress should move quickly to improve the nation's preparedness, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says.
Right. We should move quickly to improve the nation's preparedness. Not because millions of people will die otherwise, but because the flu will be bad for the economy. And this guy's a fucking doctor. I think I'm going to stop admitting I'm from Tennessee.
