it's raining as i get off the T near school today, so i sling my backpack around so it's in front of me and take the umbrella out of it. opening the umbrella, i try to close my backpack again with one hand, which doesn't work very well. so poorly, in fact, that i drop the umbrella, breaking its fall with my foot - not like i really needed to
