Fuck The Patriarchy ["Do You Hear The People Sing?" Blares In The Background]
There need to be more women like Sen. Wendy Davis in positions of power, then maybe we would be less of an absolute mess. In the meantime, between the Supreme Court invalidating the most important part of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the absolutely ridiculous behavior Sen. Davis had and is still dealing with from her colleagues*, and tomorrow's today's Supreme Court rulings on Prop 8 and DOMA I am more than ready to be part of a movement to stand against the power structure and its bad behavior. I'll be keeping my eyes out for sit-ins and other forms of civil disobedience and I hope you guys will too.
