I have a beautiful sight to share. I was in my room yesterday. It was about 9pm already and I had just come from mass. I was looking out my window, admiring the gentle rain drops tickling the surface of my pool, when I saw this pretty white rose petal fall from above. I was admiring it for about 5 seconds when I realized it wasn't falling. It was as if the petal was suspended in the air with no gravity present. This bewildered me so I examined it intently. I soon realized it was just the reflection of the white screen of my cell phone (I was texting at the time) on the glass window. After figuring that out, I turned and walked away from my window.
It's funny how we marvel at certain things only to realize that there is nothing to admire. This is how most people are. Once they have or experience something new, they admire its beauty and perfection but once they get used to it, they shun it and put it aside. I say we should stop taking these things for granted. Let us not alter our vision of things because we realize that it is not as perfect as it may have seemed. Although it is not what we first perceived it to be, we should realize the potential beauty in it before throwing it away. We should realize that whatever good we first saw might actually be there.
Wow. All of these because of the white screen of my cell phone. =P
