All of us create a kind of magic space around us. Usually it's a circle with about a fifteen-foot radius, and we pay attention to what goes on within it. It doesn't matter whether it's people, tables, telephones, or windows; we try to maintain control over that small world that we, ourselves, create.
The Valkyries, by Paulo Coelho
We should try looking at the horizon and not only that fifteen-foot radius around ourselves. I once tried looking at the things all around me like the clouds and the sky, I felt better, freer and as if my internal energy has increased. It seemed that my soul grew. Anyone can feel it but we're too busy looking down and inward so our power diminishes and our souls shrink.
Friday was a steady school day. We didn't do much which was good because I was tired of all the tests we've been having. After classes, the team met up to so that we could watch the world cup in the grade school AVR. I was really excited because I haven't watched all of the games yet. Waiting for the CD to play, I was getting really anxious. To my dismay, the CD did not work! So we ended up just playing Frisbee. I'm thinking of joining the Xavier team but whatever. Soccer over Frisbee anytime! After that, I asked permission to go to the Povedan party in Valle but I was a little ilang because I knew my dad would make me sermon about asking like a few days ago and also because I didn't really know anyone in Poveda. After I asked, I was surprised because he allowed me to go anyway! and saya because We had an inuman pa in the house so my night would not end too early. Jay picked me up and then we picked up Fern and Chee. When we got to the party, it looked pretty good! because it wasn't like the usual parties wherein you could see everybody standing around in the dance floor. Everyone was dancing as in party style! I didn't dance though because I didn't want to pay for the entrance fee of P150 and besides, it wasn't free flowing! Everything was steady until I saw the lights open at 11:30 which was a signal that it was over. I got pissed but then I found out that the reason they stopped it was because there was a fight and there were like 3 people all bruised up. One of them even had a bottle thrown at them! Jeez. We watched the fight hoping that something else would happen but nothing did. It just ended. We left and in the house I just hung out til about 3am which was bad because I had to wake up at 8 for review classes. I woke up the next day to see Maqui in my room. I changed quickly and left for the review.
That was my weekend. Pretty intense but nothing crazy. Oh! and I feel like I have a bad humor now; as if I can't make jokes na.
