Yesterday Mr. Sweetie and I had a gathering at our house to celebrate our impending parental status. When I plan these parties, I tend to invite anyone who might have a small, tangential, remote interest in coming, because I like lots of people and I want them to feel welcome and I want to see all my friends, and it feels like I almost never do. Happy Birthday to me - yesterday. I took the day off of work, slept in, talked to my parents, and had a mostly really nice day.

Well, it's purportedly summertime. Our temperatures don't reflect summer, but given that most of the country, and other parts of the world, are locked in a nasty heatwave, I think I'll take mild temperatures and a cloudy tendency and be glad.

Mystery as to why my arm has been hurting me solved - I forgot that I fell on Monday. Or rather, was bowled over by a big white dog at the dog park on Monday. I saw it coming, and controlled the fall, and in fact was not hurt at all at the time. But apparently now I'm old enough that a minor fall that I can completely  forget about by an hour later ( Read more... )
